Reasons like this is why I’m glad Rep. Paul Hollis just introduced HB9 with the LA Legislature. I hope it passes. He also is looking at making it possible for home owners to opt out of HOA’s.

We used to have a guy in my parents neighborhood that would cruise in a mustang. One homeowner had a radar gun, clocked him at 70.
I was always hoping to read in the paper one day that the neighbors went to the frickers house and ripped his tongue out through his a-hole.

It is could be said it is the HOA but it is probably the management company they hire. That is what happens where I live. Don’t dare have your garbage or recycle out to long. They just get paid more to fine people. Nothing anyone can do.

What is the rationale for residents being able to opt out of an HOA that was in effect at the time of purchase?
