Pearl harbor literally resulted in thousands of people turning to dust after seeing a flash of light.
Honorable mention: Hitler breaking the non-aggression pact with Russia.

Not even joking.
That meme with the dominos where the small domino is “Obama makes fun of Trump at correspondents dinner” back before Trump ran for president, and then the big domino says “Roe v. Wade overturned.”
It’s entirely true and a big FAFO.

The Battle of Midway was quite an arse fricking a few months after Pearl Harbor. But the FAFO the US laid on Japan at Midway is overshadowed by Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

That lady that called Garcia roofing to replace her roof but ended up getting replaced herself after the receptionist was banging the husband.

Pearl Harbor is probably #1 given the availability of information surrounding it. I’m sure there were others historically on that level where a civilization thought it was impervious, attacked another, then were wiped from the face of the earth.
One of my favorites was when Trump sent the ISIS leader a picture of his house.
