Never been to one.

I have not lived in the town for a long time.

I did play in an all-years alumni golf tournament with my dad, brother, and uncle who all went to the same high school I did. It was fun.

The tougher ones are 20 and 25 when you're in your late 30s and early 40s, the years at which you should be in peak career and the kids high school stats, and some people think they have something to prove. But I just went to my 40th and that one was really good because at that point when you're late 50s and nobody cares about your job or your career or anythimg like that. Everyone was just really glad to see each other and happy we're all alive. And we had some "prodigal sons". make that one....some of the kids who got kicked out of high school. Good to see them.

I can't help but laugh at someone who remembers some stupid shite like this from high school and still hangs their hat on it. Funny stuff.

I enjoyed my 10 year. Best part was they did 'awards' and one was for the most kids. One guy had 4 kids with 3 different women. The prize was a bunch of condoms, and he gave them back because his parents had paid to get him a vasectomy. White guy for what it's worth. It was a pretty hilarious ordeal especially after a 6 pack or more.

It's sad that people want to erase that time of their life, I enjoyed HS. I enjoyed college and I've enjoyed my wife and kids. It wasn't an amazing reunion as I've kept in touch with the 15-20 people I care to, but it was nice to talk to 25 or so people I didn't. Yeah those that are successful like to brag, but who really cares. Most of them that like to brag were either that way in HS and its expected or they had very low self esteem until they became successful. Either way, who cares.

5 year was awesome because everyone was still in party mode at 23. Shots, fights, skeletons brought out the closet...good time.

I always go. There's always somebody there that I'm happy to see.

I do not understand this. It just seems silly and over the top to plan a 5 year HS reunion.

It's like a married couple renewing their vows and having another huge elaborate ceremony at their 5 year anniversary.

Same here, I view the others as 'associates'. If I haven't had contact w/ them since H.S. I really have no desire to hang out for 3 hours with them 30 years later.

30 years, maybe, but for a 10 years I don't get that sentiment.

I have good friends that I haven't seen in 6 months because unless one of us sets up a time and place to hang out weeks in advance, life is going to screw it up. I consider the reunion a chance for everyone to clear our there calendar and show up to visit because it will NEVER happen for some of us without plenty of advanced planning.

I see people from my class quite a bit, whether it be around town or at a wedding or something, and we always chit chat. There are people I've spoken to more at the grocery store than I did in high school. The way I look at it is this - I've changed quite a bit in 10 years, and I'm sure you have too. Even if we didn't talk in high school, we probably have things in common now and I'm not that much of a prick to completely write you off because you were rude at 17.

meh. there is no one from high school that you were friends with then but dont really hang around with anymore? i think it'd be fun to see all those people again.

I don't plan on going to mine. If you give two shits about me we have each others numbers and you can call me, or I already regularly hang out with you. I'd prefer not to pay to go to a 3 hour pissing contest.
