re: Best Orthopedic Surgeon in BR area for Knees
Posted by zmanthetigerfan on 9/4/18 at 8:29 pm to geauxcats10
Brent Bankston; fiancee just had two major knee surgeries in 2 months due to a Jeep rollover we had in Utah. He is a no bullshite guy but is the go to.
If you want someone to hold your hand and tell you it'll be okay he's not the guy but he's going to fix your problem right.

We'd go to Southdowns for Thirsty Thursdays, get home at 2 AM then wake up for High School at 6
re: Deciding on an Extended Warranty
Posted by zmanthetigerfan on 3/9/17 at 1:55 pm to JabarkusRussell
Didn't get an extended warranty for my truck as I thought it was a huge ripoff, never needed anything mechanical. Truck now has 200k miles on it. GF wouldn't budge, she HAD TO get one just in case (so she said). One year out of warranty it needed $2700 in work when the extended warranty only cost $900. Saved us a ton of money. Goes to show its just a total shot in the dark whether you need it or not.
re: Ex question: Would you rather the "one that got away" age well, or poorly?
Posted by zmanthetigerfan on 3/5/17 at 8:55 am to udtiger
4 serious relationships in my life, 3 have aged well and are doing great in life, 1 is a serious frick up now and ballooned up. I'm happy with the turnout of all 4

I know damn well than anyone old enough to need to ask this question doesn't give a frick if they're heart is healthy enough, they're just glad they are still getting laid.

I say this all the time...being shy is just a type of personality. Everyone is different, some like big crowds, some don't. Now, young kids who are quiet or shy are labeled depressed or anxious or anti-social and doped up.

I love the people even here on TD.com that say "I can't function unless things are clean because I am so OCD" No. You're just not a slob. Congrats! There is a lot more to being OCD than not liking being surrounded by filth and/or liking things organized.
Correct. As a kid (age about 8-15ish) I was diagnosed by a psychiatrist (or psychologist, I forget which since they can both prescribe medication here) with legitimate OCD. "Oh I have to have a clean room I'm soooo OCD". Wrong. I HAD TO do certain things like touch a doorknob multiple times, walk a certain way up stairs, go in and out of a doorway weird ways, etc. or I felt an overwhelming sense of doom or like something was going to get me (as strange as that sounds). I slowly grew out of it as I got older.

Migraine. Everytime someone talks about a headache on Facebook it's a migraine. Doesn't a migraine make you very sensitive to light? I doubt if someone had a migraine they would want to be on their phone or computer from what I've heard.
Correct. If your headache only requires 2 ibuprofen to feel fine you're bitching about nothing. Motorcycle accident had me taking prescription migraine medication for about a year straight to prevent daily migraines. When one would hit I was basically reduced to lying in bed with the sheets over my head in pitch black to try to cure the nausea and light sensitivity. Again, years later they stopped coming and I was able to get off medication from the Neurologist.
re: Toyota, Lexus and Scion owners. Door locks not working?
Posted by zmanthetigerfan on 3/3/17 at 9:34 pm to bhtigerfan
Depends what model. And this can also include certain model Chevrolets. My Colorado's door lock stopped working on the driver side, part was $150 from Chevy, $22 through Toyota. Part cross referenced and worked fine

re: When was the last time you flipped out/lost your cool?

About 3 years ago my ex cheated on me, when I found out it was like WW3 in the house with shite flying around. Literally never understood the term seeing red until then. I am the absolute calmest person on earth but I was like a switch went off and nothing I had experienced before.
Insanely happier with new S.O., crazy how much changes in what you look for in a woman once you grow up.

She graduated an entire year early for undergrad and finished with nearly a 4.0 MBA and is pretty successful in her career. But about once a month thinks the stove is broken because she has the pan on the wrong burner.
re: When was the last time one of you went to a library
Posted by zmanthetigerfan on 2/9/17 at 9:39 pm to Hawgnsincebirth55
A year ago or so. My niece used to love to ride with me on my motorcycle, so I'd ride her there to the BR library off Goodwood pick out a book and back.

You signed for it. Anytime someone does a hard pull with the bureaus they have to have a signed document authorizing the pull. Plus, they dont need hard pulls for that, soft pulls are fine and dont make any difference. They didn't just willy nilly pull your credit, it cost ever time. Sorry to tell you man.
re: Early Christmas gift thread, what you got?
Posted by zmanthetigerfan on 12/25/16 at 10:27 am to Jim Rockford
Gf gave me a Tile, the key finder thing and it's really useful. She gave it to me early saying she was tired of helping me find my keys twice a day.
re: Ever gone skydiving, how did it make you feel ?
Posted by zmanthetigerfan on 12/11/16 at 7:09 am to OWLFAN86
Amazing. It was calming not adrenaline packed like most people say. You also feel like you're floating not falling for a solid 50-60 seconds due to the fact that you're falling with gravity
