Hannan reunion?

I don't plan on going to mine. If you give two shits about me we have each others numbers and you can call me, or I already regularly hang out with you. I'd prefer not to pay to go to a 3 hour pissing contest.
Do you not have any HS friends that live in other states now?
I'm still good friends with several people I go to HS with. The few ones that still live in BR I try to make a point to see them anytime I'm there visiting. But the ones that have moved to other states...I would likely not see them again.
That's why I'm looking forward to the reunion. I know there will be others like me that no longer live in LA but will travel back for the reunion. I'm looking forward to seeing them in person and catching up.

meh. there is no one from high school that you were friends with then but dont really hang around with anymore? i think it'd be fun to see all those people again.
Exactly. It seems like these people had traumatic high school experiences, which is plausible, but outside of that, a reunion seems like a good time. Life happens and people are busy. Planning an evening or a weekend for everyone to get a baby sitter and hang out seems like a decent time.
I'd imagine many of those who say frick it to the reunion were the same guys that were too cool for school in high school and avoided homecoming and prom and shite.

Haven't you heard? If they haven't called you out of the blue in the last 10 years, they don't give a shite about you nurse.

What about people like me that just got a GED? Shouldn't we have some sort of get together?

My wedding almost 4 years ago I had a handful really good friends from HS travel to it. One that now lives in England that flew in for it. One of the best parts of that weekend (besides me getting married) was all of us catching up. Many of us haven't all been together in one place in over 10 years. It was like a mini HS reunion.
That's a reason why I'm going...to see people I haven't seen in forever and be nostalgic with them.

My HS was a hot ghetto mess. I skipped the 10th and have no desire to attend any reunion of that pack of criminals. Why would I deliberately associate myself with what is basically a Worldstar Hiphop video? I totally get it though if you went to a HS that was all pretty much the same demographic. I wish!

That actually sounds like a helluva evening.

I don't even think we had a 10 year class reunion.. And I graduated with like 250 people

I enjoyed my 10 yr last fall. I was a little hesitant at first but I'm glad I went. It was nice catching up with old friends over the course of 2-3 days. We had an epic volleyball game on Saturday afternoon while everyone was still recovering from Friday's nights hard drinking.

I went to my 20th. Had a great time. Almost all the hot girls in my class were still hot. Plus, there were some late bloomers that impressed us all. And, it was great to catch up with some of the guys we don't get to see regularly.

If you've got any personality whatsoever, I don't see how it could go any other way.
Some of the people in here just prefer to be miserable.

I'll save you the trouble: Half the people you remember will be obviously on drugs, and the other half will be fat as shite. All the normal well adjusted people won't be there.

Know how I know you went to a shite high school?

It's true, I did.
That is basically the theme of this thread. If you're normal and went to a shite high school, you hate reunions. If you went to a normal high school and hate reunions, you're not normal.

My school is like 50% upper middle class, well adjusted, poised to be successful, etc.
The other 50% is burnouts and trash. It should be interesting.

I avoid them. I started a new life at college, and have no desire to see those people again.
This is essentially how I feel about mine. I had two good friends there that I keep in touch with and that's all I care about.

Social media has basically rendered reunions moot.
All the people I cared about in high school, I keep up with on Facebook and such.
I went to my 10 year, which was pre-Facebook and its was ok. But not enough time has passed for any of us to have really changed all that much. Most weren't married or had kids. Some were still in school getting advanced degrees. Some were just floating through life still figuring things out.
I skipped on the 20 year and didn't regret it too much.
