I've come to the realization that this place is full of socially awkward people who also hate Facebook and other social media, so I'm not really surprised by this comment or the upvotes.

ETA: I guess it depends on the class size and dynamic, but my 10 year is coming up and everyone seems pretty excited about it.

exactly what I expect tonight will be.

There is always some of that. It added to my evening.

Just had to laugh at the people who try to hard. One guy I KNOW is banking (dentist doing big numbers) was pleasant and barely made a peep.

Alcohol would be my suggestion. It helps everything. For one day.

Our 10yr reunion was poorly planned by girls from our class that still had vices with others. And not everyone in our class was invited.

The event was a failure. lol

I was living out of state and couldn't make my 10 year. Thought about going to my 20 year, but when I looked at the invitation and started thinking about it, I got really anxious. So I decided "the hell with this" and didn't regret it.
I didn't have any super close friends in high school, so the idea of trying to make conversations with people I hadn't spoken to in 20+ years just doesn't seem appealing.

In fairness, I never miss a reunion of my kindergarten graduating class.

I just felt like we were a much closer knit group.

Go, have fun, and quit over thinking it.

I went to every single one of my class reunions. Most recent was 25th. Sure, social media helps with staying in touch, but nothing replaces personal contact with old friends.

Shitting in your pants next to your friends and peers will have that kind of effect.

My 10 year is in a couple months. I plan on going and making fun of all the people who peaked in high school.

My 5 year was a pretty good time. I still hang out with my close friends from high school every few months, and still talk to a few of them in a group text daily.

Well looks like we have atleast 2 posters that spent their high school years in the basement playing dungeons and dragons. Anymore?

I don't go. I talk to people if I want to talk to them. Facebook is more than enough for me to see what is going on in people's lives that I don't ever really see anymore.

Very much hoping for a "Neauxla_Tiger's 15-year HS reunion | In-Game Thread."

My 15 year is coming up (I think). I'm not going to that shite. If I wanted to know what you are up to, then I kept in contact with you. I have zero interest in seeing most of the people I went to h.s. with.

This question is person-specific.
I was voted (amongst other positive things) "Most Likely To Succeed" and I did.
I married well, have good kids and I've aged well.
So a class reunion for me is not particularly entertaining or interesting.

If I were in the middle of the pack as to demographics, I guess it'd be better.

There's only a few interesting people involved and I kindasorta stay in touch with them already.

tl/dr: Personal decision on whether to go or not.

Seems you're worried people like yourself will show up.

I didn't bother with my 10th or 20th. Anyone I cared about enough to see, I already keep in touch with.

I was in the popular group, and I still regularly hang out with some of them. The ones that wanted to get out of Bumfrick Mississippi at least. I just don't care to go hang out with a bunch of bible thumping or poorly educated rednecks I haven't seen in years.

I've done a good job of keeping up with my true friends in high school. If I haven't seen you or called you in the past year and we went to high school together, then I didn't care to keep up with you. There is only one exception to this, and he joined the Army right out of high school.
