frick off, i never said it was a good thing she is dead, but she is dead because she was never taught how to deal with adversity in life.

that is why she killed herself, because her family never taught her how to handle being bullied.

you just dont like hearing the truth

fricking aye. Many of these deaths can be laid directly at the feet of zero tolerance rules.

Bullying pre-2000 consisted of being picked on at school and that was pretty much it.

Not really. Social outcasts were picked on everywhere. They just didn't kill themselves

The kids who were picked on the most it seems ended up being pretty sussessful

Man this is a horrible story and I don't know what drives a 12 year old to want to kill themselves.

From 6th-8th grade I had to transfer to a Catholic school. Long story short, the "junior high" building I would have gone to, if I stayed in the school system I was in, had 3 floors and no elevator so I had to go to a school where I didn't know anyone going in.. I got it pretty bad.

There were the "cool" kids and the "followers". I was new so I was a "cool" kid and I was not a follower so the "cool" kids gave it to me bad and the followers did as well because they wanted to be like the cool kids. My mouth made it worse because I have never been the type to not tell someone something back out of "fear". I remember one kid slapped the shite out of me and told me not to say something. I said it again, he slapped me again. Kids were all around watching, laughing.. but I wouldn't stop saying it. The teacher saw something was going on and came to see what was up.. She asked if anything was going on.. I would never tell anyone because.. Well I had gone to public school for 6 years before going there and you didn't "tattle" on people there.

But the idea to kill myself never once crossed my mind. I think growing up and having friends I grew up with since I was a baby helped, but if I didn't have anyone and I was a kid who everyone singled out and I felt as if no one wanted to be around me.. It might have been a different story.

Either way, I can't imagine what this family is dealing with..

Friend of mine's kid is getting bullied. She's 11, in sixth grade, and developed. So these 14 year old boys have been messing with her and talking mature things, and talking about her chest. When she"ratted" them out, all their friends started messing with her. Bad. She was telling me stuff the other day. Said the teacher is afraid, one took a referral and just ripped it up and the teacher did nothing.
My friend's have a conference with the principal Friday.

I feel bad for her. Good kid.
Horrible situation. My friend's adopted her, dad been in prison and mom on heroin her whole life. She always gets A's too. After this year she'll pass her biological parents in schooling.

when this whole bully thing took mainstream i thought what a joke. Kids have always been bullied, suck it up. But i have come to realize... im 34yrs old and things now are alot different than when i was in school. Back then if you were bullied it was some name calling and maybe come to blows. Go home and move on. These days are a different time, and social media is the worst. These kids can not escape it now. Even when they go home they are tortured relentlessly via facebook, twitter, instagram, etc. There is no escape! And in these kids minds their lives are over, they cant see past the present. It seems like the whole world is against them and there is no end. I have seen this first hand... it can even get so bad that the parents are in on it. My cousins little girl was in 6th grade and attending a private school. She alaways got bullied verbally by a girl in her class, the girls mom was cheer coach for middle school. It got so bad that they had a cheer halloween party and my cousins little girl showed up dressed as a puppy or something, and when she got there EVERY other girl there was dressed as a different color m&m. The cheer coach had instructed them all to dress as m&ms and did not tell her. It was all taken to the principal where they said it is just misunderstandings blah blah... anyway, bottom line... there are some cruel people, and relentless kids these days who are bad asses behind their keyboards.

I can attest to this. I took some pretty severe bullying when I was a kid. I never mentioned it to my parents. Just wanted to be done with it when I got home.

I was bullied by a guy down the street that was 6 years older than me and he was a big guy. This happened from about 2nd grade or so through high school and he beat me up probably 10 times in that period. He ended up being a bouncer at a bar and when I was 19 told me I couldn’t come in and pushed me against a wall.

He got the ever living shite kicked out of him including losing several teeth and had his big fricking head beat against a concrete parking lot until it was blue and big as a five gallon bucket and as I was being pulled off had 4 nice hard Dr Martin kicks to his ribs for good measure. His boss followed the ambulance to the hospital and fired him in the emergency room. He moved out of state not long after. frick him and frick a bully.

I have relatives in that area of MS and they told me that the parents had a horrible marriage -they were divorced but still lived under the same roof. They fought violently. The mother is sickly - rarely leaves the bed according to rumors. This happened Sunday night. The parents were fighting, sent the girl to her room and hours later her younger sister found her hanging from her bunk bed. This is from a cousin who's daughter cheered with her. Horribly sad, but not necessarily attributed to bullying. This sweet girl is in a better place. How her sister
recovers from this is beyond me. Bless her heart.

ETA this is all third or fourth hand info.
Get down on your knees and thank God your children and safe and pray for this family. Whatever happened, they are living hell on earth.

The failures are the parents of the bullies and that is all there really is to it.

She went to Oakdale? That's a really good school.

It pisses me off when teachers and principals say they never see anything. You're either a liar or you're too stupid to read a room or hallway.

Difference back in the day was that bullying stopped when you got home; people were safe until the next day. Now that shite follows them via social media

12 year olds shouldn't be on social media. I have 2 kids the same age and they aren't even close to being allowed on it

Yeah. Go borrow your dad's gun, go back to school, and murder the bullies.

You hit on some of the issues.

The parents were pretty awful to her from what is being said. Put a lot of pressure on her to excel at the competitive cheer and the girl's brother is a travel ball superstar in a baseball-heavy area (NW Rankin)

I said earlier it wasn't cyberbullying. There may have been a little of that, but it wasn't the main issue.

Liberalism is a mental disease

its all a direct result of liberal cucks making spanking your kids and teaching them how to grow up and that everyone does NOT get participation trophies just for trying, because if you are not the winner, then you are a loser, but according to the libtards that is child abuse

I think you might have the mental disease here, bud.
