This beautiful 12 year old girl in Brandon, MS killed herself because she was being bullied. Everyone in this girls life failed her including her parents.

LINK

Spend some time talking to your kids about things other than grades and sports.

Berserk probably shouldn’t have bullied her.

Did people kill themselves 50 years ago for being bullied?

My dad talks about the crap they did back in the day and it was way worse than the “bullying” of today

Difference back in the day was that bullying stopped when you got home; people were safe until the next day. Now that shite follows them via social media

I understand that. This 12 year old girl didn’t.

I’m probably a dick for this but cyber bullying is a joke to me. Just go do something else.

This is what happens when you don't allow people to stand up to bullies.

Bullying pre-2000 consisted of being picked on at school and that was pretty much it.

You at least had an escape in that you could go home and you and your other loser friends could get away from the bullies.

Nowadays it’s much harder to hide from it due to social media, group texts, videos and pics that can be distributed to embarrass, etc...

I got bullied when I was in 5th grade but it was only ever by one kid at school. Never away from school.

Bullying is not the same these days. And while kids aren’t getting swirlies anymore, the psychological bullying is much worse

It says she's from Jackson, she was probably bullied for being white

It wasn’t cyber bullying. There are some adults involved in this that need to be questioned.

Yep. Someone will invariably say that this girl shouldn't be on social media if she's getting bullied there, but she shouldn't have to change her life because of bullies.

Yep. My wife told me that back in high school, she was kind of an outcast and then all of a sudden people started being nice to her and going out of their way to be her friend. They even nominated her for prom queen that year. They had her up on stage to give her the crown when all of a sudden they dumped pig blood on her. The whole thing had been part of an elaborate prank. The crazy thing is the gym burned that night and she was like the only survivor

I know the family.

Girl seemed like a normal preteen girl. There are pictures of her on her moms Facebook from the snow on Friday and she looks so happy.

This happened Saturday. Hung herself.
