I immediately thought of the card game Bouree. There is actually phone version called Boo-Ray.
Yes, since I am from down the bayou, I would play cut throat, but the online version doesn’t let you do that.
Casinos should have some Bouree tables just like Texas hold’Em.

babine
Is the spelling in Monsignor Jules Daigle's authoritative Dictionary of the Cajun Language.
But he also says that since it developed primarily as a spoken language, there is no authentic precedent for the spelling of most Cajun words.
ETA:
Boudé - pouting
Babine - lip (especially lower hanging lip)

No. It doesn’t.

What you're saying is bah-bin. That's kinda like the facial expression of boodaying. A sad face, if you will.
That facial expression is sometimes called a pout(bah-ben), as opposed to the act of pouting (boude) though I have heard it called a boude face. Boude is an actual French word while bah-ben is a colloquial Cajun expression.

Right I though one was pouting and one was the pout itself.
Like you boude or you got the babine

To add a different word, In Pierre Part where my Grandparents lived, they used to say "bee-nate" as well as "ba-bean"
Like, "look at that big bee-nate, he's sad/mad him" (facial expression)
"boo-day" was to pout and "ba-bean" was like the bottom lip sticking out.
Just saying cause they were Swamp Cajuns, Prairie Cajuns had different sayings in my opinion.

Bruh, it’s the past participle.

Well you're quite confident... But you mispelled the word.
Le babin is older french for the baby.
La babine is older french for the lip.
Both are a way of saying a male or female is ninnying.
