She has deep convection on the west and SW side now, and the E side has been going for a while, but until it’s all black and white IR cloud tops around the eye, the high end strength potential won’t materialize.
The black ring of cold cloud tops is as close to being complete as it’s been in Helene’s lifetime.

I think it is bad, on balance. More time to prepare is good, but otherwise, the bad side of the storm (Ft Myers, Tampa)
Unless you're a surge-prone area this isn't a Ft Myers/Tampa hurricane. Winds are gusting to 45 mph right now in Ft Myers, hardly anything they can't handle, and the center is almost even by latitude.

Chances the rain will mess up some of the nat parks around westernmost NC? I know they have gotten a good bit of rain there already this year.
I think chances are pretty high. You're already seeing flash flood warnings up there. I'm not familiar with the hydrology there, other than steep terrain + a ton of rain = really fast moving water. It will wreck some shite up there. Everyone is tracking category and winds on this thing, but the rainfall will be the story on this storm.

Any chance we can get a compilation of all the live links posted to the first page?

If that's on the east side of the eye I'm afraid that "blue shed" ain't gonna make it.

The remnants will. It will be a depression interacting with another area of low pressure that formed off of the trough that has been working through the Southeast over the past couple of days. The worst flooding threat is still in the western NC/TN border area and NE GA.

Really don’t like the NH. Path on the West side of Atlanta….worse case scenario. Hopefully it keeps creeping East
Agree. Going to have to decide whether or not to bring the family downstairs to sleep tonight. Horrible scenario but many tall trees around the house may force the decision.
