Looking at the timeline, this thing is really going to pick up speed tomorrow. Tomorrow am to tomorrow pm takes it almost all the way across the gulf.

Really hope those in the path and especially those facing the predicted storm surge heed the calls for evacuations.

Best wishes to everyone who may be impacted.

Whatever Tallahassee gets won't last as long as it did in Houma with Ida. That may be the only plus right now.

Not sure about Houma's geography, but Tallahassee is filled with old oak trees that line nearly every neighborhood road and old wooden cracker box houses, it is absolutely ripe for a disaster zone with hurricane force winds

You can see the towers blowing up in the first concentric outside of the eye. RI is incoming.

To each their own, but you need to be fully prepared to have no power or running water for quite some time. Fill up your sinks and bathtub so you can flush the toilet and at least give yourself a whore bath with a rag. Way too many big trees in tally for them to not see significant power outages, and the first responders are going to be spread out clearing debris, it could be a while before your street is even accessible by car.

Fill your biggest cooler with ice and gather up some non perishables.

Live oaks are actually made to hold up to hurricanes better than just about any other tree.

Don't wait on people to clear your street. Do it yourself
