The students will say they can't afford to buy a bunch of new items to replace their existing clothes.
Or the minority of their population that promotes societal norms for their kids will see a huge value in going there versus other HBCU. I bet there is a decent percentage of the black population applauding this move.

"Revealing clothing" will also be banned in classrooms, dining areas and official university events such as Convocation.

This would disappoint me if I had classes with Whitley.

What the hell is a du-rag?

Also, the prohibitions on "revealing clothing" (which admittedly is kind of a vaguely defined term) are sometimes claimed to be sexist and/or homophobic because the women students and gay students would be the only students who would ever violate that rule.

There will be no girls at that school. If they stop sagging, ZERO attendance.

Tuskegee has one of the highest tuitions in the State. Much higher than Alabama or Auburn. Sad that they have to institute common sense guidelines for dress to class for people paying such a high price to attend.

I am actually surprised they had to do this. Central Mississippi has two HBCUs (Jackson state annd Tugaloo) and both of those student bodies dress quite nicely as a whole….

They had to implement a stern dress code to change consumer habits.

Wow. I’m actually shocked. Too bad whoever made this decision will get fired for it.
