He's probably moving the trailer to an island or it might be a hell of a lot quicker to move it by boat than drive it around.

I managed to get my truck home one night, threw it into park, then passed out. When I woke up, it had run out of gas. I had never turned it off.

Seen it done in person. Launch on bayou black. People do crazy shite when in rush, early morning, boat ramp peer push. He realized it as soon as he unhooked and it rolled in.

Idk what they do to prep the trailer but from what ive seen on YouTube this is pretty common up north. The hubs are probably fine, they go underwater every time you launch/pick up the boat anyway.

That's a different experience than being thrust through the water for a long period of time.

Could pack them full of grease at the landing and hope for the best I guess.
