never ever just walk into a dealership. worst thing you can do. call and try to get to the fleet sales guy, or internet sales guy. then once you have established the right person, then go into the dealer

My dad ordered a Lariat in January received July 1st. Him and my mom went to Waco and the AC quit with 500 mile on the truck. 108 degrees and no dealer would even take a look. There’s a recall on something to do with condensers. Instead of fixing it before delivery they just hope it doesn’t break..

I ordered one in February and it wasn’t supposed to be delivered until August/September.

I actually ended up getting a Silverado instead but the Ford ended up arriving in early June.

Yep. Wait 6 months. With high gas prices, and the recession, the demand for a new full size truck will plummet, along with the price.

I did. Took 3.5 months but I got exactly what I wanted (King Ranch, 36-gal tank, etc.). Configure it online and bring the configuration code to the dealer. Makes it very easy.

BTW, consider Hollingsworth Richards Ford if you are in BR. Despite what everyone is saying, I got mine below sticker (although not what I could have gotten it for pre-pandemic). They made it super easy and are good people.

Sound financial advice. Buy now with sky-high pricing because you can get more for your trade at the stealership.

How long did it take? Ordered F150 Feb 2, took delivery July 27. I was told ordering times have shrunk.

Did they try and bambleboozle you at signing? Feb price, Feb finance rates (1.9), all incentives ($3000) honored. Price was same as at ordering…inv + 1,000.

there a security deposit? No deposit, Only DL to prove to Ford the order for real person.

Ordered my F-150 in February and got it 2 weeks ago. Got all of my requested options except Auto Stop (which I am fine with) and Sirius XM. No chips for the XM but hopefully can get it added later when chips are available. Love it so far. Was going to order a Silverado but after waiting 14 months and not able to order went with a F-150. Probably best since I have heard issues with Chevy and GMC pickups engine and transmission issues.

I wouldn’t recommend ordering any car right now from anyone. Everyone i know whose done so the last year has said it has taken forever with some even cancelling. It’s best to just keep searching for what you’re looking for imo. But I have heard Ford is a bit quicker with their orders than GM.

Ordered a 22 in December 21
Got VIN mid February
Built late March (no chip hold)
Delivered Memorial Day weekend

I was actively tracking mine through the whole process, and the communication from ford was horrible. All in all, mine worked out better than some and I hope to never have to go through that again.

Truck has been amazing though. Lariat 4x4 with 5.0 v8.

Eta: MSRP on sticker ended up being about 3500 more after waiting 6 months, but my price was protected by Ford. No issues whatsoever with final transaction with dealer

Some will and some wont. My advise is to jump on the big f150 forums and read up on everything as there is some awesome advise on there. There are several dealers offering invoice + discount on trucks, so it’s not that hard to find under MSRP despite what people on here say about it.

I’ve been hearing this for two years. One day you will be correct.
Prices will slowly level off and might come down a little, but nothing in the auto industry is plummeting for a few more years
