Cheaper to order, as you’ll get a $1500 custom order rebate assuming they’re still doing that. With how expensive trucks are now, it was nice being able to order exactly what I want without the things I didn’t want to pay for. (Moonroof, running boards, etc).

I’ve been hearing this for two years. One day you will be correct.
Prices will slowly level off and might come down a little, but nothing in the auto industry is plummeting for a few more years
Car loan defaults are ticking higher. Interest rates are starting to explode. What do you think will happen to the demand for a new vehicle if the market is flooded with repos, and the cost to borrow shoots up? That's right! Prices will fall! Already seeing it with the housing market.
We are currently in a recession. Do you see the economy getting better in the next 6 months? Especially considering the Fed is going to HAVE to raise interest rates again and again in an effort to bring inflation under control.

If you have xplan, there is no monkey business on price. They will certainly try to upsell you in the finance office, just say no. Used vehicle prices are starting to lower, not a lot yet, but it is starting. Finance rates are starting slowly rise. If you want a new truck, ordering is a good plan. You can lock in rates and trade value as they are now.

, let you in on a few things.
There still is not near enough supply of new vehicles to keep up with demand.
Also people have been driving older cars much longer now because of lack of new cars and them being too expensive.
So yes things I’ll get better and prices will get a little better in the market with the recession, but it’s not a “plummet” situation

Nope. They don’t. There is a reason welders, cattlemen, oil & gas workers, and anyone who needs a heavy duty vehicle as a tool, not a toy, but Ford, Dodge, or Chevy. They are superior to Nissan or Toyota.

Usually a deposit but I’d get in writing the price they will sell to you.
Because if not they can jack up the price in a few months once it comes in. Some shady dealers out there.
None of the dealers around me were willing to do msrp. So I went to an out of state dealer to order. Well I called them and placed an order. I didn’t have to go in.
That was another thing about one of the dealers, they kept trying to get me to go in. I said no, I’m not driving all the way over there to just order a vehicle that you don’t even have on lot to test drive.
Also don’t forget to sign up for ford rewards. Usually get a huge initial point boost when purchasing. You can buy accessories or a few oil changes with it.

One of my relatives is a car salesman and they just got in their first ford lightning. Priced at 94k, with a 10k mark up. For a whopping 104k. For an electric truck with the lowest range out of all of them. Everyone at his dealership agrees it's stupid.

Yea…whatever. I had one of the 16 Titan Platinum 4x4 with the Cummins. It was the worst built POS I ever owned…. Except for the 2007 Dodge 3500 dually. The dodge was in the shop so many times they named it.
I probably tow more (6-14k gooseneck) than anybody in here. My trailer rarely gets detached and I put about 50k on a truck every year.
My choice is a GM/Duramax but I would own the Ford/Powerstroke as well.

Demand is the key word, partner. With the explosion in gas and diesel prices, inflationary price increases on necessities, and the jump in interest rates, demand is about to be very, very low. You do understand what usually happens in a recession, right?
