He does. Every, single day of my life. Don’t try to make yourself God by assuming that I need his mercy because of my opinion that you disagree with.

If we as a society, as a people, choose that man or woman's life must be taken in order to obtain redress, justice or act as a deterrent for abhorrent behavior, we must all witness it.

If we decide to put someone in prison for ten years should we live stream their entire life in prison for everyone to view as well?

The logic here is silly

The more I think about this, the more I conclude it was a dumbass decision. Do you think Americans, who are right to want the blood of this dog to flow, will be the only ones watching?

Picture what is going out to every Islamic fool in the world, one of their, own in a wheelchair, rolled out in front of a firing squad, yelling "Allah Akbar" as he is 'martyred' for their cause. You are not just killing one terrorist, you just created thousands more. Propaganda is a powerful weapon, you just gave your enemy a shite ton of it.

Execute the dog, I prefer hanging as we did the Nazis, and bury him where no one knows what happened to him, the same as OBL.

IMO, we should be careful about letting other nations/sects dictate our moral standards of justice. Our principle in this case and all cases ought to be simple, expedient, poetic justice (of which there is nothing cruel or unusual).

Never in our history have I ever heard of an execution being televised, if we do, we are letting them dictate our behavior and how we mete out justice.

Cried by the same people who already turned Minnesota into Somalia.

Minnesota has the highest percentage of people of Somali descent of any State.

Figures range from 90,000 to 110,000, which equates to 1.6% to 2% of the State population.

They're going to put this cockroach on a national stage with all the stirred up controversy that this will create.

He doesn't deserve the attention.

Kill him with all the fan fair of stepping on a bug.

A compromise would have been to record it and allow it to go out on the internet later, like we already do with WWII executions.

Wow, I am blinded by the eloquence and depth of your argument. You can turn around your ballcap now, the sun went down.

Fantastic. I agree with this move and look forward to watching it. And I think we should bring back public executions in such cases and disagree with the sentiment that this likens us to third-world countries in the Middle East.

This news makes me proud to be an American and I thank our government in advance for not caving to any public pressure to not make it publicly viewable for our citizenry.

hmm, okay little man (or woman)

You’re demanding depth of argument while offering a joke about a hat. Apparently the intellectual high ground has a clearance rack.

You can oppose broadcasting the execution. But “we haven’t done this before” doesn’t establish that terrorists are dictating our behavior. (It’s also not remotely true) That’s a conclusion you slipped in without bothering to support it. Who exactly is dictating what? What demand are we complying with?

Hasan was tried, convicted, and sentenced to death by a military court. Broadcasting the execution doesn’t erase the trial, change the verdict, or turn the sentence into a terrorist demand. If your objection is that the broadcast makes it a spectacle or could become terrorist propaganda, make that argument. Those are actual concerns someone can debate.

Instead, you jumped from “I’ve never heard of this” to “we’re letting them dictate our justice.” Your unfamiliarity isn’t evidence, and your dislike of the broadcast doesn’t fill the hole in your argument.

But sure, tell me more about the ballcap. That was clearly the strongest part of your rebuttal.

Who is the "them" that you're referring to? Not a troll question. I'm not following what you're saying here.

No posturing is required for me to celebrate the execution of scum like this. If I had been in on the decision to do it, I would have had no problem condemning him to this fate.

There is no question that his heinous and cowardly crimes are worthy of execution. There are multiple issues with executing him and doing it publicly. It is very easy to say one would condemn him without any problem if it was their decision, but the mountains of evidence from jurors who have actually been in that situation says otherwise….most people do have a problem when it is time to actually do it. If a person did not they have no business being on a capital jury because it is not something one should do lightly and care free….it is the state ending a life, it is the penultimate expression of trust in the state. Those are not light, carefree subjects. Juries are already hesitant to do so. That is why executions are hidden, the people who prosecute and carry out sentencing knows how difficult it is to convince 12 normal everyday Americans that execution is more fitting than life without parole. Again, not in an abstract, theoretical “I’ll throw the switch” message board world but in the world where someone has to actually throw the switch. There is a reason that executions are rare in the west and happen behind closed doors….because the people who are responsible for prosecuting and carrying out executions know more about the psychology of jurors than message board pundits. Those people know that doing executions publicly will make their nearly impossible job impossible.

Guess some forgot, we’ve already had an execution filmed live?

• Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee, was fatally stabbed on August 22, 2025, while riding the Lynx Blue Line light rail in Charlotte, North Carolina.

• The Victim: Zarutska had recently moved to the United States to escape the war in Ukraine and worked at a local senior center and pizza restaurant.

• The Incident: Surveillance footage showed no prior interaction between Zarutska and the suspect before he unprovokedly stabbed her from behind while she sat wearing headphones.

• The Suspect: Decarlos Dejuan Brown Jr., 34, was arrested at the scene.

• The Charges: Brown faces state charges of first-degree murder as well as federal charges of committing an act causing death on a mass transportation system, which carries a potential death penalty.

• Current Status: In June 2026, a federal judge deemed Brown incompetent to stand trial and ordered him committed to a federal medical facility for competency restoration.

Why not do a two for one? This guy could be part of the double header?

Remember as for Iryna:

We already have streamed video executions.
It's only 'barbaric' when it's justice.

We’ve seen older folks men and women killed on video, by no good for nothings.
