How?

Public executions were a thing for centuries

And people didn't sit on death row for decades. Most sentences were carried out within months of conviction.

Live streaming a firing squad execution by the American government in 2026 is assinine. Trump continues to find ways to divide the country. Get this idiot out of office.

Yeah, Hitler thought the same thing. So does Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan, Somalia and North Korea.

I think your take on this is really off! I plan on having a "watch party" for this historical event. I mean, we'll be chillin' and grillin' while the scumbag, towel-headed mf'er watches those rounds coming right at him.
The message will be clear: we don't put up with you murdering, American hating bitches!

Maybe they should filet his dick off then skin him alive on TV.

That may solve your issue.

Not sure why you’re upset. Democrats fight hard to turn our country third world.

Throughout human history, death penalty was a public affair. That’s only very recently changed. Explain what is magical about doing it in secret?

If “it’ll make society coarse” is the concern then there are innumerable other way more coarsening things already out there.

You should look at some of the work the Innocence Project does.

Isn't that what precedent means?

That has to be against at least a half dozen Geneva Convention rules.

Need public executions and floggings. Maybe cultcha enthusiasts locked in stockades would send a message more effectively.

This is not ghoulish. This is the solemn acceptance of communal resolve and...guilt. If this is our choice as a society, we must all accept equal amounts of responsibility for that choice.

We must watch.

Now, if we cannot bear the pain of watching, then we do away with executions, but hiding the act behind a wall and dark night is cowardly. We made this choice. Bear the cost.

While you make a very good point, that is definitely not why the current administration wants to livestream it. That's pure bloodlust and it's unbecoming a civilized nation.

So, is it okay to air the executions of U.S. service members who were caught by ISIS while occupying Iraq?

You are becoming that which you claim to fight against.
