Don't worry, baw. The sun will go supernova one day and reduce whatever trace elements are left of both of you into subatomic particles and it will be like y'all never existed.

Why is good looking the only thing you can say about her?
Posted on 5/23/18 at 11:09 pm to Tigerlaff
My heart was broken by cancer. My wife and I had a wonderful marriage. One day she was complaining about a pain in her chest. We got it checked out and she was diagnosed with Stage 3 pancreatic cancer . 17 months later she was gone. Nothing will ever ease that kind of pain. Of watching the love of your life slowly die.
The OP needs to realize we cant always see why things happen. All you can do is pick yourself up and try to move on with your life.

Yes...married twice but was ready to go both times. The other one who broke my heart was a different story...been TKO'd for three years now as for looking to date again, just knocked my legs right out from under me. Took me 40 years to truly feel real heartbreak but it was bad when it happened and scary honestly as a new feeling at that age.

This is one of the rare areas in life where I have an empathy- deficit. If your dog had died I might get choked up. If you just got fired or your kid was having a health issue I’d worry about you across the Internet. But as much as I try, break-ups kind of make me giggle. I’ve never seen a breakup in my life that in the long run wasn’t a good thing. Including the one that made me puke for a month and my parent’s divorce. Get over it. The less angst the better you’ll feel.

There are many ways that have your heart broken.

I have. My wife left me about a year into our marriage. Luckily I met my 2nd wife about 2 weeks later and we’ve been together ever since.
Keep your head up, champ.

Quit dating girls from New Iberia with the New Iberia haircut and you’ll never be disappointed again.

I've never felt this kind of heartache before.
I thought that... until I found the love of my life. A genuine connection will make the next love of your life just as beautiful, if not more so than the last. This was obviously not meant to last. Keep your head up... I know it sucks, but this too shall pass. Lean on family and friends, work out, stay busy, and try to remove reminders (social medial, trinkets, etc.). Good luck friend.

Start working out. Eat right. Play golf. Go fishing. Go out and have drinks with your buddies. Go to work events. Be social. Make your own money and start preparing to set yourself up for the next chapter of your life. Your still in your 20’s, there’s no rush to be in a relationship. I know the thought of starting over emotionally is a scary one, but you’re not in a bad spot. Eventually start going on a casual date every once in a while, but be relaxed about it and don’t put any pressure on the situation. The right woman will show up one day, and when she does, you’ll feel it. Your thoughts and emotions will be directed at her and the one who just rolled out on you will only be an after thought that pops up on occasion and you’ll do nothing more than giggle and shake your head as you wonder how she ever even made you feel so shitty. This happened for a reason bro. Find a way to be glad it did.

Not with that attitude.
Look,’we’ve all dealt with this. You “fall in love” and you fall deep and when it ends it feels like the end of the world.
And then 5 years later you are eating out a girl much hotter on your back porch.
Trust me, it gets better.

Relax. She'll probably get fat.

Looks fade, and someone like that is always going to be obsessed with her looks. My advice is to find yourself a girl that you love to hang with and be friends with. This is what lasts when beauty fades and the fiery passion tames down. Find someone who shares your interests and you can have fun with.
A person will always show you who they are. The problem is, what are you making them out to be because of what you want or need? I am sure that pretty little thing showed you what a narcissist she was, but you just couldn't see past that towering pedestal you put her on.
Right now you are blinded by the pain, but after some reflection, you will start to realize some things.
Get away alone into the outdoors and clear your head.
Chasing the strange will only muddle things up and prolong your agony because buried feelings never die.
Take care of yourself.
