I never had a serious relationship in college, high school, grad school, etc.

I'm in my late 20s. I guess that's late to have your first heartbreak. I've never felt this kind of pain before.

I just got dumped by a girl two nights ago. We were literally planning to be engaged. Been dating a year. She's told people how much she wanted to marry me. She got close with my mom even. Had her best friend text me wanting to plan how I propose to her. I'm saving up for a ring even.

This girl is a knockout. Most beautiful girl I've dated. Won a couple beauty pageants. I'm not gonna do better than this, looks-wise.

I've never felt this kind of heartache before.
Somebody give me some advice.

You’ve come to the right place. Post a couple pics of your girl and let’s see what we can do to help.

It seems significant now, but it’s really not. Nothing helps except for time

Chin up. Better it happen now then after you are married with kids.

Consider it a blessing. Get on top of something young and tight and you’ll forget all about her

Eyes were kinda foggy and I read the title as “had anyone here had their truck broken into before?” Never mind tho.

Lower your standards slightly and go get some strange. It does wonders. Her looks will fade anyway as will yours.

Before these knuckleheads come in and talk their stuff...Had my fiancé at the time break off our engagement 5 months before the wedding. Was crushed...took a week off work and lost like 15 pounds in two weeks. Got over it by hanging out with my friends and forcing myself to get out of the house...oh, and lots of strange!

You don’t work for a hospital do you?

Someone in my office just dumped her serious boyfriend and half the women in our building came by to comfort her.

Yea it sucks, no two ways about it. Everyone will say “just get under someone else.” Sure that and getting drunk help for a little while, but they are only temporary distractions

Time will ultimately heal the wound. Just don’t sulk forever. Get out there with your friends soon and try to be active, meet people, find a new hobby.

You’ll eventually find someone else to be with. You’ll always remember the one that broke your heart, but the pain won’t be there. Best of luck

Just a bump in your road. We've all had them and our hearts ripped from our chests. It may seem like nothing good will come of this learning experience but somewhere down the road, you'll look back at this and laugh.

Go find a local glory hole, you'll be alright.

Ummmm, yes, and you haven't lived until you have.

It was 27 for me. This fairly common especially in this day and age.

Easier said than done, but move on. At least you didn't buy the ring and formally announce it. I identify with you, but don't let yourself be consumed. Everyone says pussy, but it's not going to help that much. Get some hobbies going that you didn't have before, bullshite with your friends, and stop looking for someone else to fill your void. Once that happens, often someone comes into it naturally. You never find anyone by being desperate, and if you do they're almost always the wrong person. You got a beautiful chick once before, and once you're in your 30s and have some "frick you" money, then you'll be more attractive to them than ever. Put your mind on anything else than a woman and focus on your career.

EDIT: Also work out at least 4 days a week.
