Before you do that buy “treat your own back” by robin McKenzie
Written for everyone and about 14-15 bucks on amazon.
I’ve been a PT for 20 years and find that McKenzie extension which is VERY simple greatly reduces about 2/3 of all mechanical back pain. Certainly worth a shot before having surgery.
It’ll VERY clearly explain to you in clear steps if you’re improving the situation or not.
