I have been following the category 6 blog and the addicks sounds like a ticking time bomb... that and the jacinto /Brazo rivers still have yet to crest... Houston still very much under the gun

Dude said that the 500 year flood maps for the Brazos were done at 58' and it's expected to crest at 59'. The Memorial Day flood that was real bad was 54'. This is another 5 friggin feet. Scary

We are dry and still have power.
Overall my immediate area has fared extremely well in comparison o other areas. We are essentially on an island at the moment.

Wanted to ask again since my first post was at the bottom of the page.
Do any of you weather experts know if tornado warnings spin with the storm? There is a warning to the southeast of my house and if it does spin with the storm then it will be right on top of my area. It seems reasonable to me but I honestly don't know.

Exactly the same for my sister and family. They say the mental part is toughest right now for them. Rain seems like it's never gonna end and anxiety setting in. Helpless to do anything else. Hope this is all over soon for you guys and life can eventually get back to normal.

We pulled some elderly neighbors out of their homes and loaded on to air boats earlier, whole neighborhood is isolated and look like it will be for a few days

That's what I was thinking. The one southeast of us was ending at about 9:30, so I was thinking it would be on us right about now. No warning for my area at this moment. Winds seem pretty calm at the moment.
