Listening to these rescues by first responders and especially by civilians in their boats makes one feel glad to be living in a kick-arse nation with kick-arse people like the United States of America.

Officials are doing everything in their power to make sure downtown Houston does not get massive flooding, even if it means other areas take the brunt.

Damn...I had to turn The Zello app off. People worried about horses and dogs over human lives. They need to make a separate channel for animal rescues

People are overthinking the Dam release. Yes it will add to the bayou, but COE are thinking ahead and basically determining it is better to slowly let that water out now versus letting the reservoirs just fill up without it and potentially breach which would decimate a huge section of Houston.
Let it out controlled over a longer period of time than in a ahuge burst and try to give the folks behind the reservoirs a little more time to get out.

There it is again. Confirmed 10 feet of water released into Bay City. Fire and police pulling out the city and mandatory evac.

Bay City would not be impacted by the reservoir releases. They're getting stories mixed up.

The neighborhoods on the west end reservoir releases in Cinco Ranch area will get feet of water in their houses for months.
