My sister (no pics) works at Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge said that they have already taken in sick and premature babies from a hospital in Lake Charles, and are on standby to take in plenty more if needed. They did this after Katrina and those doctors and nurses were damn near heroic in they work they did in those days after the storm.

We don't know yet. Estimates now range in 5-10 inches through Friday but honestly if the storm moves back into the gulf, we don't really know exactly where it will go.

92L has officiall been given "potential tropical cyclone" designation
Where is this? I was on Wunderground earlier and didn't see anything other than Harvey in the Tropical section.

Also, can we get Peej to predict that 92L will hit Baton Rouge? Thanks.

92L is about to head up the East Coast and maybe scrape that part of the country.

Radar starting to fill in again. However, the heavy rain signal isn't nearly as strong as it was yesterday at this time. There is some drier air mixing in to the circulation and cloud tops are much warmer than yesterday afternoon/evening.

it's in the Atlantic along the east coast and seems like it's going to get caught by a front and taken out to sea

I am not worrying about the pool. He lives sort of in my area and it was an indication of the rainfall. Why I said it was at least 6 inches each time.

Latest GEFS model.

Not sure if 100% reliable but it looks like the eye is projected to stay in Texas. With that said, if it strengthens, the east side could hammer Louisiana.

Those are ensamble members of the GFS I think. You can think of it as that models projected spread of possible tracks.

Good to hear... But wasn't it later in the evening when you saw the build up coming?

Any folks know where to find an estimate of the projected peak level of Spring Creek at Kuykendahl over the next few days? Street drains are handling the water fine now, but concerned that water level may rise quickly when it has nowhere else to go.

You think future storm Irma is going to weaken the Atlantic ridge more than models are anticipating, allowing for a more NE motion?
