In recent years??? .Dude I grew up i nthe 80's 90's in a white middle class home in the south, attended Catholic school and my Volvo's 2 Kicker subs blasted gansta rap along with every other white kids in the burbs.

Most immigrants in general are more pro-American than native born Americans. Hispanics may be an outlier due to the fact that they have been here as long as any group, most of the US where they are present in large numbers have always had large number of hispanic folks.

I have a friend who escaped Vietnam sometime in the mid-70s. His brother and a young woman who were in an arranged marriage were smuggled out of the country by her parents and she told her parents she would not leave without the younger brother of the man she was marrying. They ponied up the money and all 3 were snuck onto a freighter and made it to the US. He was 14 at the time. His brother and the girl made it to Canada, he was unable to go to Canada with them because of money and stayed behind in Baltimore where they made land fall. He did not speak any English, was 14 years old, knew no one, and managed to get an education, a job and has lived what by any measure would be the American dream. Is the most pro USA individual I ever met. Not blind to issues in the US but always says they are minor compared to what people in other parts of the world deal with.

I have been an immigrant in Europe. Nothing like working and living abroad to make you appreciate the US. Again, not blind to issues but some perspective helps immensely. Folks really ought to go out of there way to get to know immigrants....it is shocking how much they appreciate shite we take for granted.

Did he explain what black culture is? We all would love to hear this shite.

It's possible this is true, but I question the premise that "adding to the culture" is automatically a good thing.
