Not commenting on the current case, but releases don't mean as much as you think.

In general, you can't sign away negligence

The opening claims in any lawsuit are always entertaining. The lawyers are allowed to write anything they want just shy of outright lies and the courts do nothing about it. I hate that shite.

Yep, it is crazy.

It seems like every excursion I go on while on vacation there's always an Asian that has to be rescued.

Asians don't float.

And you just log on here to be an a-hole to everyone you reply to. I encourage posters to browse through your posting history. To each his own bro but you are the most confrontational poster I have ever encountered.

Like what? She was already in the boat. Are they supposed to have an iron lung on board?

I was a Special Operations Medic for twenty years. I supported dive ops on multiple occasions and went to a specialty Dive Medicine school. I have no fricking idea at all what you are talking about here.

I don’t think they were pulling her out of a burning building...in a boat.

Anyone who travels outside this country needs to understand that the rest of the world doesn't have the safety standards we have here.

Expecting life saving equipment on board? You lucky if the boat doesn't take on water.

It's close to Austin, and home to the famous "Salt Lick" BBQ restaurant. I went to eat there with a friend who went to UT a few years ago. It's a fairly typical little hill country community.

This was NOT deep sea diving.
It was snorkling.

Grandma had trouble breathing? Really? What kept her from raising her face out of the water and pulling her face mask off and ...you know... breathing air that was all around her head?

Did they let Grammy take a bath without watching the she'd roll over and drown?

If she was using one of those full face snorkels I've hear a lot of people drown from those. There may be some liability from the maker.
