“Blood clots can be scary,” says Stephan Moll, MD, a hematologist and professor in the UNC School of Medicine. “But people hear ‘life-threatening blood clots,’ and this distorts the discussion. Blood clots are often not life-threatening and can be treated and dissolve.”
Dr. Moll explains how blood clots develop and unpacks common perceptions about how the condition affects athletes.

What do you mean? Is it not quite common for perfectly healthy 30 year olds to start developing serious blood clots around their vital organs? I’m sure it happens all the time. Nothing to see here.

Is it weird that I find the people who scream "VAX!" at every chance equally as annoying and useless to the conversation as those who constantly dismiss the possibility that this vaccine could have lasting negative impacts every chance they get?
