The old man across the street from me is a pretty nice old guy. He noticed I had some pepper plants in pots on the side of my house. He asked if his brother could eat some because he liked hot peppers. I said sure. I figured he was going to pick a few jalepenos and bring them to him. Nope. 5 minutes later he pushes the brother over in a wheelchair. Dude is barely cognizant of what's going on. My neighbor starts feeding him habaneros and ghost peppers.

This must be pretty common. We've got a road in our town so steep and curvy that USPS has all the mailboxes on the downhill side.

I can't imagine that somebody across the street would want you entering their yard to trim grass around your mailbox.

My a-hole neighbor did that too, I did it back to him.

Our neighbor texted Mrs 45 and me this afternoon and asked us if we wanted some fresh baked food. Pastelitos with guava and cream cheese filing in a puff pastry. Delicious.

My neighbors are awesome. Very few issues over the last 7 years since we bought here.

My story- When I first got married, I moved into my wife’s condo in the gay part of Dallas. Super clean and great neighborhood. The guy above her condo was a flamer. He played EDM music all hrs of day and you could hear his bed banging on floor when he was getting his gay on. We ended up having to sell right after we got married due to an early pregnancy. That was the biggest upside to the early unplanned pregnancy with my son after we got married.

not super obnoxious but beyond trashy. Back when we lived in apt we were upstairs and shared a set of stairs with the neighbor right across. Both of our apartments had nice balconies but the fricking white trash next door insisted on hanging out, socializing, smoking and letting their kid play on the stair landing. The worst part is the stairs went up our side so when they sat on the top step to smoke, they were literally a foot outside my door. I would find cigarette butts and even once fricking tripped over their kids toy when coming out my apt. What would really drive me buts is having to wait for them to get up so I could use the fricking stairs.

anyway, they unshockingly got evicted and the maintenance dude in charge of turning the apt over for the next tennant said he had never seen or smelled a unit so bad.

I have a quiet neighbor to my east. They have a dog they walk right down my fence like 70 foot from my porch area. Forces me to acknowledge him

We have a nice view so I installed an aluminum fence. Still glad I didn’t brick it

He has 1.3 acres. He could walk it anywhere. But nope right down my fence

Guy in my neighborhood recently put in new shrubs and tried spelling out his last name with them. Needed to be in a lifted truck right when he did it to even notice. Too stupid to realize the plants will grow and his stupidly will then be noticed by no one.

I caught my neighbor dumping his used motor oil behind my fence. I reported it to DEQ. He's moved away thankfully.

That's how we kept weeds off of the fence lines in the SWest. Tumble weeds are a hazard when they break free while still green.

In college we used to go up on the roof to get stoned and catch some rays. The chick next door (an absolute 10) would go out in her backyard and sunbathe nude. She totally knew we were there and loved teasing us.

my a-hole neighbor has one of those pellet smokers and he's a very good cook. He drives us crazy with the wonderful scents of the things he cooks. on the bright side, he shares a lot of the things he cooks.

Turns out I'm in the wrong thread. They are the best neighbors ever.

We were doing the walkthrough on our house and the next door neighbor comes out and tells me I need to do something about the weeds creeping into her lawn. I told her I’d get to fixing the lawn when I had time.

The following summer she asked me to stop killing the clover because the wild animals liked to eat it

Lived in an apartment while I was in grad school. The girl who lived next door ran out of toilet paper one day and asked if I had an extra roll. The same thing happened every two weeks for the rest of the year. I asked the people across in one of the other apartments if she did this to them and they said she only borrowed laundry detergent a couple of times a month. The people upstairs were giving her bottled water. Not sure what she did to get free toilet paper when I graduated and moved away.

When I was a senior at LSU living in Tigerland, it was safe back then (‘87), we were having a party at our apartment. Anyway, in the building next to us, we start hearing all kinds screaming and glass breaking. Turns out the girl living in that apartment was banging some guy and her boyfriend shows up and catches them. Tossed them out her bedroom window.

We had older French neighbors who would travel back to France for 6 months at a time. Some how I got the privilege of taking care of their lawn while they were away.

The Montsurrats if memory serves correctly. Mrs. Montsurrat made the best pralines and macaroons.
