If you're not being shady about shite, this shouldn't be a problem. What are you worried about her seeing?

Do not understand people getting in relationships where you can't trust the other person. If you can't communicate openly, just break up and save yourself some money down the road.

Your Uber example is not a great use case. Uber and Lyft both offer the ability for trusted users to monitor your trip, and have for years. Glad it worked out for you. My ex wife passed out in an Uber, which took nearly twice as much time to get back to the house than it should have (late at night, no traffic). The problem wasn't her location, it was having a way to have Lyft contact the driver.
Dinner is solved with a text message, or by sending your ETA via Apple Maps or Waze.
I am not saying its the only way to do things, but to say it doesn't have a use other than to spy is laughable.
Also we all know the "Have you left work?" text is annoying af to get.
ANd you have to avtually share your uber trip with someone for them to see it. My wife couldn't stay awake for an 8 minute drive, do you think she was in a good headspace to share her trip?

Haven’t read any posts, but she cheated on you and feels “sort of” guilty.
My suggestion is do it. She will crawfish within a very short time if you play your hand correctly.

Dude, that's awesome. It reminds me of the time the ex and I got in a car, and I swore to the driver that the wife wouldn't puke, and as the sentence is coming out of my mouth, I feel a lot of warm liquid being disbursed in the suit jacket..

People who think you are cheating are generally cheating themselves.

My wife makes fun of women who do this. She says it’s nothing more than a lack of trust of their man
And they all use insane bullshite like this as their reasons. As if the frequency of grown men being kidnapped is common. And if it did happen, they’d be smart enough to ditch the phone with gps tracking capabilities anyways
She doesn’t trust you, and if you’ve never been caught doing anything to cause this mistrust, you should run

So if you aren't lying, what's the problem. If you never lie about where where you are and have no intentions of cheating, refusing to share your location gives your girlfriend a reason not to trust you that she otherwise shouldn't have.

I am 65, and I am so freakin' glad that cell phones and the internet weren't around when I was dating.
GF: why didn't you call me?
ME: I wasn't anywhere near a phone
or
I was out on the water all day
or
It was a long distance call, and I didn't have any
quarters
or
I tried to call you twice, but your phone was busy

DON'T DO IT. I DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE MARRIED OR NOT, DO NOT DO IT.
Stand your ground and don't give in.

Nope not until you're engaged or married should that be necessary.
It shouldn’t be necessary ever unless you’re having to travel to an area known to be dangerous or very rural say a hunt where maybe you fall out of the stand or something and need to be found

Married and don’t even do it.
Some of my girlfriends share with one another, and it has ranged from a friend showing up at another’s weekday solo lunch as a “surprise”.. to each person using it to snoop/gossip. Just unnecessary regardless of what safety factor it might have.
I’m one to stop for a drive-by glass of wine when I should be elsewhere, and it’s nobody’s business.

Sharing locations is creepy ans insecure af.
Posted on 10/18/23 at 5:41 pm to Yeahbuddy35
surprised to see some of the responses here.
I agree doing it before marriage is dumb but post-marriage it’s just convenient.
Easier to just pop open the phone and see where your spouse is when deciding when to start dinner or when I need to be cleaned up after lawn work or whatever.
The government already knows where I am 24/7, my wife may as well too

They’re a bunch of unattractive 45 year olds railing about privacy, for what exactly?

my wife brought that up a while back and I shut it down. I told her if I go missing yall can have fun retracing my steps.
I just joked with mine asked if she wants me to share my location in case I’m kidnapped
She said “no, if you get kidnapped they’ll bring your dumbass back before I know you’re even gone”

assuming the OP isn't leaving out any part about sketchy behavior on his part, this is what i'm leaning towards too... she's projecting that, as cheaters tend to do, and being overly cautious to not let it happen to her...
her bullshite arse excuse about safety gives it away
