If you put something warm or hot in a sealed container it goes bad faster. She’s just letting it cool down, then snap the other corner after it cools. I think she can do better.

I had one who thought just closing the lid on the cereal box was enough. The top layer was always like rocks.

If learned nothing else in life, the right frame of mind is 'where on the imperfection continuum are you?'. Therefore, I take the half-full approach.
So, my feedback is...if she is all in for 3 of 4 corners, it could be a lot worse than 75% freshness spirit.

I believe it is the other way around. Hot food placed in the fridge promotes bacteria when you accelerate the cooling process.

Large batch food like gumbo needs to be cooled as quickly as possible because it takes way too long for the inside to cook traditionally (countertop or fridge) and it will warm your fridge if it’s too hot. This is why restaurants split it into smaller containers and ice them to flash cool them.
Small items can basically be cooled either way. They will cool long before the 2 hour rule comes into play.
