I believe it is the other way around. Hot food placed in the fridge promotes bacteria when you accelerate the cooling process.
If you let your food cool to room temp first, it will already have more bacteria when you finally do refrigerate it, than if you refrigerate it from hot.
To slow bacterial growth, food needs to be either hot or cold. The quicker that transition happens, the less bacteria there is.

I used to blame women for being women too. Now I just accept them and blame myself for not being informed and honest about their nature. They aren’t rational and they aren’t accountable. There is no societal expectation that they should be. They can act batshit insane with near-impunity. Don’t expect them to be your bro, bros. Enjoy them for their feminine sexual appeal and other traits you value. We compliment each other but we aren’t each other. We are worlds apart. I love them and I don’t hate them for their nature, I just accept it.

Accept it and a million other things and move on. Trust me on this. this ^^^^^^^ she most likely got in that habit after breaking a nail opening a container once so now she wont close it all the way. but thats life
This is correct. You either accept this behavior, or try to modify it, but you waste your breath trying to explain it.
So here’s a method for attempting to modify (results may vary):
Just start throwing away any container that you find that’s not closed properly. Don’t just throw the food out. Throw the whole container away.
If she asks, just say, “it went bad. I think the corner was left unsealed.”
Don’t get mad about it. Just be prepared to buy lots of extra replacement containers.

I've divorced after fourteen years. Still friends. Good gal. Not psycho. I didn't read your post.
These days I have about five girlfriends a year. Some years its one and other years its ten. I'm no bar fly, I mostly prepare my own meals. I'm not particularly sociable. When I do socialize I seem to meet someone interesting with a great smile. That's about all it takes if someone takes care of themselves and is nice. All of your words seem overly complicated.

You have to weigh the pros and cons amigo. Take my girl for example, she's one of the messiest people I have ever met. She is also an ace cook, has a great body, cute as a button, and makes her own money. All things considered her good qualities outweigh the bad so I tolerate it.

You must be losing your sanity to use such an insane set of words on a day like Sunday.

My wife chronologically fails to tighten the cap/lids on most containers she encounters in the kitchen. Grab the half and half for coffee and want to give a couple quick shakes? Better check that cap or else it will be loose and spray all over. Constantly. Constantly.

There was a set of Rubbermaid containers we had a few years ago that I could not close the fourth corner on - my husband could (although he never complained about it)
I recycled them and bought new ones.
