Long time lurker here, looking for some OT advice. The girl I’m dating is a vegetarian. I love bbq, fried chicken, southern food etc. basically opposite diets. Has anyone had a situation like this? Can it work long term? TIA

Yes. Am pescatarian now. It made sense for me as well, but it has a lot more to do with how she’s dealing with it than you.
you don’t have to join but should understand why and make small changes to accommodate if that’s reasonable to her. It’s good for you to eat less meat, but if she’s trying to force that on you I’d bail.

Just make the left half of the refrigerator the "Joyless and Bland" side and make the right side the "Animal murder and Delicious" side.

Is she tired all the time? Cold? No energy? Doesn't want to frick? Pale as frick? Chews on ice a lot? Sucks on lemons? If so she is anemic and has an iron deficiency. Make her eat meat, mostly beef. Calf's liver will work.

Just married a vegetarian and she doesn’t give two shits about what I eat. As long as she isn’t pushing that shite on you, you’re good.

Is she doing it for health or moral/ethical reasons?
If health, you should be fine.
If moral/ethical, you’ll prob run into some issues.
Chick I married super Christian and ultra conservative. I’m middle of the road on both. It’d be boring if we were all the same.

Not a deal killer. Works for people all the time as long as she doesn’t mind you eating meat. Seeing more and more athletes, especially endurance athletes becoming vegetarians.

Vegetarians are not nearly as obnoxious as Vegans. Shouldn't be a problem.
