Yes, but she had a serious health issue that should have been reason for being checked up on.

He'd retired to avoid becoming a spectacle. Then years later, died in a pretty embarrassing way. Pretty shitty.

Was the current wife a homewrecker? That could explain the kids not coming around too.

Nah. I think it’s a simple situation of just not being a great close family. Hackman had issues with his dad and mentioned he wasn’t a great dad to his kids due to his career. It likely went much much deeper.

He was 95 and kids were in their 60s, they likely had great grandkids.

It also could just be shite luck. He lived in New Mexico with a younger wife, maybe the housekeeper was once a month or something. You just don’t know.

There’s a lot of money in monitoring elderly without being obtrusive. It’s not easy at all as they are stubborn and want to be independent, but they just can’t be. I don’t know the answer, but it’s a trillion dollar one.

Or he had didn't get his medications for a week, like anti-hypertensive meds, and finally the heart gave out.
Maybe the bottle of pills were his meds/

When I heard they lived in New Mexico, I figured they went there to get away from ppl. If he lived in Cali or NY there wud be too many ppl around for this to happen

He must have some sorry arse kids because they hadn’t checked on their 95 year old, Alzheimer riddled dad for over a week.

Maybe he was a sorry arse father.

Like most, I initially thought carbon monoxide poisoning, but to hear she died first about a week before he did and to think he was wandering around the house in his limited mental capacity is truly a sad way to go out.

They deserved better than that.

Arakawa, 65, was found with an open prescription bottle and pills scattered on the bathroom counter. Authorities linked her death to hantavirus pulmonary syndrome.

That's such a nice way to say she died of an overdose.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories or anything like that, and maybe this doesn't fall in that category, but anyone who doesn't believe that some weird shite happened in Gene Hackman's death/this case is an idiot.

This is the typical cover up the weird death cause because the guy was well known and well liked scenario.

1. The pills scattered around her were not ones that someone could OD on and die
2. The story, if fake, is way too out of line to be a cover up.

Sometimes conspiracy theories just aren't needed.
He was 95 years old with Alzheimers. And she was 65.

I dunno about all that, but it's more likely he OD'd on purpose, or she did it for him, then offed herself than any of that bullshite you're taking about.

of thyroid and blood pressure meds, or tylenol, which do you figure either of them od'd on?

maybe he did have some sorry arse kids, but his wife was in her 60’s and so are his 2 oldest kids.

It’s safe to say they thought she was taking care of him. They could not have taken over medical care without taking her to court.

So y'all are just going to believe this made up story? Just because he's one of the beloved Hollywood actors?

Him, his wife and his dog were all found dead and y'all don't expect something a little off here?

Several decades ago we had a "it could a been me" happening out in Utah.
It was winter, we were in SLC and decided to go see the north side of the Grand Canyon i snow. (Also Bryce, etc.)
The Lodging that was available was in tent-like cabins inside the park. They were booked solid so we ended up somewhere else. Several short months later, word spread that the cabins, with double walls for heat insulation had been found to be massively inhabited by mice and many of the mice were found to be infected with Hanta Virus.
