Cokes, I'm not trying to start anything with you, but this feels salty. My position is: this is either courageous, therapeutic or both for Jody.

He's not running a grift, as far as I can tell. He's not playing for sympathy or even attention that I can tell. Seems straightforward sharing of a childhood trauma and news story that was locally/regionally famous (infamous?) and with which many of us are familiar.

So, are you salty or did I misread you?

Nah, it's not salty at all. And he's nowhere near as bad as he used to be on here. It used to be really, really....strange. And he and I discussed it in a thread years ago on here. I'm not sure it's courageous or therapeutic at this point...it's more just normal for him (as he said in his response to me). But it's always felt a bit "off" on here.

And more power to him. I'm glad he's in a place where he can talk about some obviously serious shite from his life. And he's very proud of his dad, which he should be. Like I said, it's just always been odd in threads on here about it (though it was much worse years ago). But my initial post was about how unafraid he is to share things about it. To the point where it's strange. But admittedly, that's coming from someone who's never even remotely been in his position or gone through what he did.

In fact all I remember hearing was positive comments supporting Mr. Plauche

Jody and I are the same age and I remember my grandfather saying Gary should be given a medal of honor and more bullets.

It always struck me as humorous that he wanted to make sure he hung up the phone after he blew that dudes brains out.

I don’t recall, did they present it to a grand jury and get a no true bill?

What I took away from that as well. Yet the news hadn’t figured out it was Gary yet when they broadcast it

The news knew exactly who it was. My dad used to work for Channel 2 and was on their bowling team. The program director Bob Shadel is the one who told him when Jeff was arriving.

It happened at 9:30pm so my dad wasn't booked yet so I guess that's why they didn't confirm his identity. But I'm not sure.

Mike Barnett sure as he'll knew who it was.

Was that on the 1st floor between the restaurant and the bathrooms?

It was on the second floor at the top of the “down” escalator. You can see the escalator in the video.
