Had a friend and his brother flip off a guy in Monroe one time, the guy pulls over and they both jump him, turns out it was Bob Allen (Karate instructor) they said he kicked the crap out of both of them.

Love a story with a happy ending.

Sounds about right.

Honestly, it seemed to be like shooting a dinner plate from about 18 inches. Granted it was moving, but still.

Honestly he should have never been charged with anything. What he get? Suspended sentence and a shite load of community service?

He did the community a service, one the cops and the parish and state would have been too chicken shite to do.

Parents should be able to torture people that hurt their child.

Me and Bryan became friends in real life. He worked in radio with Jeff's brother Roland and Roland had the carpet business and Bryan's family has a flooring business.

Rumor I always heard was that he was the one that tipped Gary off on where and when they would be escorting Doucet off the plane

WBRZ Channel 2 March 16, 1984

I was at LSU and just happened to catch it live on the news that night. I sat for the longest, stunned

It had a huge impact on a young guy who would eventually father children. My wife and I never signed up our kids for stuff that we couldnt supervise in person. Almost never allowed sleepovers unless it was at our house. And never allowed overnight trips that one of us couldnt chaperone

I think that night I came to grips with a world that suddenly wasnt the playground that I had grown up in. I was oblivious to the evil that families were secretly, painfully dealing with

I ache for that 11 year old kid. But am forever grateful for the actions of his father. I'm positive it made me a better father

Never had the chance to meet him. We had talked about here and there, just never pulled the trigger (no pun intended).

It was Bob Shadel...they tried to pin it on Mike. Also, do you think Mike would have at least given Bud a heads-up?

Bud said if he was gonna set someone up to be killed, he would not have been standing next to him, it wouldn't have been in front of a TV camera, with a guy shooting under his arm.

WBRZ 1984

Why do the dumbasses in that WBRZ video from 10 years later keep talking about a "murder" that was captured on video? They should have said a fatal shooting or a homicide.

These were people in the news business and they didn't know that "murder" has a specific legal definition?
