He made a great shot. Could have easily hit the innocent cop right next to him if he was a little off.

My parents were separated at the time due to my dad's drinking. They eventually got back together because part of his probation stipulated that he could not drink.
They split up again (never divorced) in 1991 because once my dad finished probation...he went back to drinking.

My dad said Gary had the balls to do what most men wouldn't and wanted to see him go free. He donated to Gary's legal defense fund.
