Every real life hero is flawed.

That's the first time I've ever seen the unedited video. I love how the cop just walks up and turns his hands up like "guess there's nothing to do here" lol.

There should be a shrine to Gary at BTR near where those phones were.

Was that on the 1st floor between the restaurant and the bathrooms?

It's weird because most sexual abuse survivors are not comfortable talking about.

But thanks to ole Daddy (I don't say that in a bad way) I couldn't keep my secret hidden. I had to address it at 11 years old.

So talking about it...especially having written a book about...at age 50 is no big deal.

Took a lot of guts… if anyone ever says he overreacted is a fricking dumbass.

Cokes, I'm not trying to start anything with you, but this feels salty. My position is: this is either courageous, therapeutic or both for Jody.

He's not running a grift, as far as I can tell. He's not playing for sympathy or even attention that I can tell. Seems straightforward sharing of a childhood trauma and news story that was locally/regionally famous (infamous?) and with which many of us are familiar.

So, are you salty or did I misread you?

It's on my website...the really unedited video. Notice at 1 minute and 4 seconds the camera man changed the tape in the camera. He did that incase the police wanted to view the shooting. He was going to give them the tape in the camera and take the shooting footage back to channel 2.

What I took away from that as well. Yet the news hadn’t figured out it was Gary yet when they broadcast it

I always enjoyed it when your dad came to the bar. Great sense of humor and fun to be around. Wasn't his party barge at False River named "Cirrhosis of the River"?

I remember seeing it on tv as a kid. Funny how things have changed because no kids or parents that I was around had anything negative to say about it. In fact all I remember hearing was positive comments supporting Mr. Plauche. Of course this was way before social media too. Glad the justice system got this right back then because I’m not sure it would in today’s world.
