need a remedy for garbage disposal smell. starting to smell like sewer.

Remove the rubber safety thing and you'll likely find lots of sticky food stuffs that need to be scrapped off.

Cut a lemon in half, toss it in and grind it one half at a time.

Unplug it, reach down with a brush, scrub it.

Plug it back in and put lemon halves in it.

Sounds like the vote is for dumping lemonade made with baking soda and water down the drain is ur best bet. Fresh squeezed with 1/2 of a lemon should do it.

I'll buy the outdated lemons or limes at the store and throw them in the freezer for this purpose. Just pull one out and let it thaw and throw it in.

If you do it regularly it stays smelling fine.
