Considering the oldest of us are 43ish, I'm going to go with no. Either Gen X or a very early Boomer.

Actually, after a quick search, here's the head of the NWS. Definitely Gen X: LINK

Yes they do. NWS Huntsville has at least one millennial homosexual on their weather forecasting team, and I only know that because of their pride month social media posts. It’s weird that I should know the sexual preferences of anonymous weather geeks, but I guess it’s a brave new world.

My app says low of 34°.

Since 32° is freezing, it feels appropriate to warn people of a possible freeze. Within 2° is close enough. It’s not a guarantee, just a warning.

And I’m sure Fido don’t give a frick if it’s 32 or 34. He needs protection either way.

And why is this a big deal for you anyhow?

back in the day, they would issue "watch" and "warning" a separate statement.

your example would have been a "watch".
meaning a freeze was a possibility but expected to happen

There are a ton of homos at the NWS. Pretty much every NWS met you can find on Twitter has a rainbow flag in their description.

Weather folks will always err on the side of caution. Believe it or not, there will be people, like the elderly, or pets and plants that may not make it through the cold because they didn't know. Does it really bother you that much that they issued a freeze warning?

This enables them to send out more weather alerts to further condition people into climate change hysteria.

It amazes me that people still don't understand how Freeze/Frost warnings work, why they're issued, or who they are intended for. It shows a whole lot of willful ignorance.

Going to be 34 in the WP. Still not worth a freeze warning. It is, by the laws of nature, wrong.

The people who bitch about freeze warnings and complain about forecasters issuing them are the same people who will look at an hourly temp forecast from a shite weather app and take their forecasted temp as gospel.

It makes no sense.
