How is the backside of this thing? What kind of wind can we expect in Mandeville?

I agree with you on everything you said but when the next storm comes through be prepared for them to shove their GRAF model down our throats. Fradella is already bragging about how good of a job it did.

In the Ridge as well off of Sauve. Water was as high as I’ve ever seen it, but not high enough to flood any homes by us. Neighbors across the street lost power; knock on wood, we still have ours.

Damn. Isn't Sauve the highest point in River Ridge? I didn't think it was possible to flood there.

Does anyone know if homeowners covers the vehicles or if you go through car insurance?

You will be paying a homeowners deductible to fix the carport, and a comp deductible on each vehicle.

This evening kind of sucked. Found out my buddy's house half mile away was taking on water at 8:30. Father in law and I waded through water down to their house to see if we could help get things up. Four to five inches in the house. Floors and I guess cabinets are ruined.

I think the wind you see right now will be the strongest sustained you see. I won't say you won't experience gusts but the worst sustained is here or past.

ETA: The eye will get closer so the winds will shift but shouldn't intensify. They may stick around a bit longer here if it keeps drifting eastward

She's dying

I'm over in Madisonville. Was wondering the same thing. I'm ready to go to sleep, but kind of what to stay awake to make sure everyone else here is safe.

Raining about as hard as I’ve ever seen it here NE of Abita Springs. 60mph gusts (just a guess)

Same thing here in Springfield area. It hasn't been bad lately other than some gusts, but I can't seem to get a clear picture of what's coming to know if we can go to bed or not. Kids are finally asleep at least.

It seems like everything I look at has not updated or the eye has practically stopped moving.

Anybody watching wdsu in New Orleans? They are driving across the twin span and the driver yells out something as they hit something. Sharif Ishac says “I think we hit something in the road” and the driver says “it was a pelican!” And Shariff hushes him and hurried up to cut back to the studio. I was LOLing

Ah man, I feel more for that pelican than the dude in the truck earlier.

Radar is delayed and not refreshing on some services. MyRadar looks like the radar is current but the wind map is about an hour behind where the storm center is.
