The water on the Tchefuncte River is rising fast right now and unfortunately there will be a lot of flooded homes from this. I will be shocked if it doesn't get above 28 feet in Covington.
Do you have a link to this graph?

Also ignore what I said about the wind graph earlier. It must've been a glitch because now it's back to peaking at midnight then dying down

Damn neighbors tree just took out our carport and laying on both vehicles. Does anyone know if homeowners covers the vehicles or if you go through car insurance?
Car insurance covers cars
At least that is who covered my vehicle that got crushed under my carport during Gustav. Oak tree went through house and carport. Safeco took care of house damage, State Farm cut the check the day the adjuster came out for Auto damage. Appraiser said if it came in at more, let him know, but never had to.

In my limited experience of country living, there’s a “sweet spot” with which pines break. Big water oaks uproot, big pines are fine, skinny pines have enough flexibility and are fine - the medium pines snap in half about 8-10 ft above ground level.

homeowners will tell you they don't cover the vehicles
quote:As long as you carry comprehensive coverage, your auto policy will cover. You could have a car burn inside of a garage during a house fire and comp coverage on your auto policy pays for the vehicle
auto will tell you because it hit the carport first it's not their problem
