In the Ridge as well off of Sauve. Water was as high as I’ve ever seen it, but not high enough to flood any homes by us. Neighbors across the street lost power; knock on wood, we still have ours.

No they didn’t. Yall are confusing center of circulation track with eastern flank of storm. Eastern side is always the worst. COC never got within 30 miles of Nola

So is there anything left on the backside of this for New Orleans at this point? Anyone know anything about the pumps and time for street flooding to reverse. I’m inches away on both cars.

In a similar spot up in Gentilly/Filmore. Holy cross high school might be pumping out its classrooms tomorrow.

That weather.gov site with the charts shows the wind dying down in Mandeville soon but then spiking again around 4am. What's that about?

I guess the backside?

Y’all think the JP pumps couldn’t keep up or something was wrong with them?

The pumps handle an inch in the first hour and a half inch every hour after that. 6-7 inches probably fell in 2-3 hours, so it's definitely a pumping capacity issue. I guess there could be power issues too.

How’s the flooding on Vets near the Popeyes/sidelines? My ring camera is out and I haven’t seen/heard if flooding is near entering my house or not

And that's assuming properly maintained drainage and pumps.

The water on the Tchefuncte River is rising fast right now and unfortunately there will be a lot of flooded homes from this. I will be shocked if it doesn't get above 28 feet north of Covington.

In Kenner - have never seen the water this high. Both the front door and back patio are a few inches away from water now. Seems like it's risen 6" since the rain stopped over an hour ago.

Well, they're pines so yeah.

I hate these f'ing things

I have about 10 along the rear of my property that won't hit my house....

However, my neighbor has about 30 in his backyard. All of them are monsters. Unfortunately, we're expecting an east wind which puts my house harms way. We're sleeping in the spare on the opposite side of the house.

Yeah, I am thankful it didnt occur along the lakefont but the river has been so full since last week. Beau Chene will have probably have 6 holes totally under water tomorrow morning.
