And all of the Child eating, Hollywood elite that left are slinking back, buying $27 million mansions and hiding out in them. I didn't miss them while they were gone.

That’s an unfortunate headline .
I dont think it’s ‘cool’ vs ‘uncool’ as much as it is sanity vs insanity .. having lived overseas now for the last few years, from the outside looking in, America looks like a dysfunctional shitshow in almost every conceivable way .. and if you dare to speak up and say anything about it, you are accused of being unpatriotic or, god forbid, that you have “omg TDS !!11!!11!!”…. There’s just no sanity there at all .

My job takes me to a different country every 2 or 3 months.. mostly in South America and in Asia.. my goal is to experience enough different places so that when im able to retire in about 15 yrs (much sooner than id be able to back home in USA)- ill have found, if not the perfect place- at least the perfect spot for me .

I fully support people leaving. I'm even willing to throw a few schmeckles to help them with their journey.

Read a similar article on wall street journal. Its not really so much about politics or hating America, although they say the numbers have jumped since Trump got in office, but about quality of life and affordability.

I read where North Korea is really hip. Everyone discontented with our cool factor should move there.

Good. More land and resources for me.
If enough people leave I’ll buy land and have a private gun range.

Oh yes. The everyone should buy a home even if they can’t afford it model.
That worked out so well.

I am not certain I understand. The middle class is hollowed out... but the people leaving have a chance for a better life in other countries because of their U.S. Salaries? So it is a problem that areas where you can make more money cost more money to live? Isn't that fairly standard?
Also, Is the idea that they are retaining US level salaries while moving to other countries?
I am assuming that they forfeit whatever is paid into their social security? Or better yet... they are already part of the class of people we are paying for healthcare for? If so, is there a way to speed this process up?
America was seen as cool in the 80's because we told the world we were cool... now most of our media output is focused on telling the world that we suck and have problems... so Guess what they believe? Is it possible that the only thing that has changed is the message?
