Josh Brolin seems ok, but I might be wrong. I don't follow the gossip rags.

Clint Eastwood

My cousin met him accidentally skiing one winter. Matt (my cousin) was in the single lift line and got paired with Clint on the double chair lift. They were halfway up before Matt realized who it was. He turned, looked at him, and said "you're Clint Eastwood" Clint said yes, nice to meet you. They made small talk about runs and the snow the rest of the way up.

There a lot of nice/normal celebs I have met in my line of work. If you treat them like they just do a different job than you they usually are pretty cool.

George Strait is one of the most down-to-earth guys I have met. He made fun of my roping ability all weekend, but it was warranted.

Pretty soon he gets up and walks over. He started running his hands through her hair and asking what was wrong. I replied that she was probably hungry or something. So, Keanu put down his magazine, picked up my niece and lifted his shirt. He breast fed her right there in the middle of a hair salon. Chill guy, really nice about it.

Was at Caroline's comedy club and Damon Wayans sat at our table and drank with us pretty much all night. Really fun guy to drink with.

Met Kelly Rowland through a work detail. While I was around her for less than 30 minutes total, she just seemed like a sweet, down-to-earth person. She left a great impression on us.

Back in 2008 or so I saw a foreign movie at Canal Place theatre and we realized about halfway through that the couple sitting in front of us was Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgewick.

There were only about 12 people in the entire movie and when it was over I was right behind him in the tiny bathroom. Didn't say anything but I remember how expensive his belt and leather jacket looked as I waited up for him to finish for my turn at the uninal.

It was Joan Rivers and she stopped in to get something to eat. It was just kind of odd seeing here there. We walked up and said hello and she was just an incredibly nice lady, very personable

I met Joan Rivers back in the late 80's when she was performing at a hotel where I worked in the engineering department. We got a call that there were electrical problems in her dressing room. I wasn't looking forward to dealing with her based on the obnoxious person she came across on TV but she was absolutely as nice as could be. Gave me an autographed photo, a bottle of wine and a tip for addressing the problem. Met a few other celebrities there I couldn't say as much about. Buddy Hackett and Sammy Davis Jr. were assholes. Al Leiter lived down the street from me. He was an a-hole too.

Reminder: the thing that drives most people to want to be “famous” also makes them unbearable humans.

(There are a few exceptions)

I saw Ryan Gosling at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Same thing happened to me. Except it was zagnuts.
