Met Regis Philbin when I was in the Marines and he was incredibly nice. He was doing a book signing and didn't just rush people off after signing and a picture. He had, what seemed to me, a genuine conversation with everybody.

I used to see Adrian Zmed from time to time, he was still entertaining but seemed to have a relatively normal life.

Chipper Jones will stop to shoot the shite with anyone if he has time. Good dude.

I can second this. I was a teaching pro at an Atlanta area country club in the mid-90s and got to know a lot of the Braves players through Brad Clontz and Jeff Blauser. I would host those guys on Tuesday’s when we were closed and they wouldn’t be bothered. Played frequently with CJ10, Smoltz and Glavine. Maddux came out a couple of times.

John Herd (Home Alone, Sopranos) was very cool when they were filming the Great Debaters.

Denzel Washington was friendly but very business like. Forrest Whitaker was a nice guy.

Kevin Costner is very friendly - he loves being famous (in a good way) and he likes visiting with fans.

Linda Carter was very nice, and was astonishingly hot in person. I mean "holy shite" hot.

When my wife was in h.s., her parents divorced and she took the bus frequently between College Station and Waco. On one trip, these two punks were making obnoxious and aggressive advances towards her (along with all the redhead comments). This huge black guy plunks down in the seat next to her, smiles and looks at the two guys and says "is there a problem?" To which they said "no" and shut up.

He was clearly a Baylor football player, 90% chance it was Mike Singletary.

When I was younger, maybe junior high, I got roped into watching my 3 month old niece while my sister got her hair done. So there i am, sitting in the waiting area of a hair salon with my niece and who walks in but Keanu Reeves.

I was nervous as frick, and just kept looking at him, as he read a magazine and waited, but didn't know what to say. Pretty soon though my niece started crying, and I'm trying to quiet her down because I didn't want her to bother Keanu, but she wouldn't stop.

Pretty soon he gets up and walks over. He started running his hands through her hair and asking what was wrong.

So, Keanu put down his magazine, picked up my niece and lifted his shirt. He breast fed her right there in the middle of a hair salon. Chill guy, really nice about it.
