I'm convinced all smart devices do it 24/7 anyway, so what's the difference? At bare minimum, they are monitoring and logging every keystroke.

Exactly. At this point, just video record everything. Much higher percentage of me needing the recording from something bad that happened vs catching me doing something dumb
