Didn’t LSU use to be in the 100s at one point in time?
Pretty sure they still are in the US News rankings which I'm pretty sure don't include private schools or something?
These are the Forbes rankings which I'm pretty sure aren't as widely used as the US News ones

You think there’s a marginal difference between LSU and southeastern? lol
Yes.
Don't confuse the quality of students with the quality of the education. Additionally, individual programs are more important than the overall university.

LSU is always in the "Best Value for Public Schools" list from Kiplingers. They consider things like salaries 10 years post grad, which LSU does exceptually well at. In my opinion, these list are really stupid. Outside of the top 100 schools (mostly private from what I read) and the military academies, they are all the same. I didn't get a worse business education going to LSU versus USD, DU or Penn State (my other school choices).

Is LSU really $46K a year!?
No idea where they get this from. From experience, it's around $14k all in with tuition, room and board and meal plan (I guess that's covered in board but not sure) after TOPS.

Let's be honest, any ranking after about 211 should be unranked.

212. LSU
252. Bama
All that matters to most LA residents.

My point exactly.
The quality of the education at most schools is similar. Is the average LSU grad smarter than the average SLU grad? Probably, but he/she was probably smarter going into LSU too.
LSU football had 40 players on NFL rosters in 2018, the 2nd most in the country outside of Alabama. That doesn't mean LSU is the 2nd best developer of NFL talent.

Forbes names LSU one of America’s Best Value Colleges
By WAFB Staff | May 3, 2019 at 10:38 AM CDT - Updated May 3 at 2:24 PM
BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Louisiana State University was rated as a best value university and 69th among public universities in the United States, according to Forbes 2019 America’s Best Value Colleges rankings.
LSU ranked fourth best value, ranked ahead of Auburn University, University of Alabama, University of Kentucky, University of Tennessee and University of Missouri. LSU is ranked 110th overall in the latest America’s Best Value Colleges list.
Forbes scored the 300 universities on quality, net price, net debt, alumni earnings, timely graduation and access for low-income students. The list evaluates institutions that offer four-year degrees and does not include private schools.

State is plunging further and further into the shitter in all aspects.
Different set of rankings genius. The ones you're referencing are US News and haven't changed much.

Ole Miss 401.
They would have you believe most rank them 91.

Absolutely.
No one wants their cow to be gored, but those institutions are solely creators of debt.
ULM has the state’s only atmospheric science program and the only public pharmacy program. Don’t GAF about the unrankedness.

LSU cost is about 25K a year in-state and TOPS covers about 8k of that.
Tuition and fees =12K but about 4 with TOPS
Room and Board =11-12K
Books and Misc = 1-2 K
I assume the other 21K is out of state tuition

No they aren’t, and honestly not that close. They are very well regarded in many communities but there are also tons of people that have never heard of them.
Being a top school has a lot to do with placements and it’s always gonna be harder to place people when you are somewhere like St. Louis and many graduates are headed out of state for the top jobs.
