Kids have to learn about gays eventually. Better they realize there's nothing wrong with it as early as possible

I personally think Christianity is promulgated by brain washing. But I don't believe in any rules that would stop you from believing in a fairy tale.
I don't believe government should step in and make gay marriage illegal either. I just believe the church has the right to refuse to hold the ceremony and recognize the ceremony.
Although, I appreciate your lack of respect to my faith by calling it a "fairy tale." Sounds like you harbor quite a bit of resentment.

Ya can't have it both ways.
Are you assuming that people who aren't bothered by lesbians must also be pro-abortion?

Just like eating shellfish on a Sunday. I sure hope you're not partaking in any of that, it's an abomination, you know that right?
Well, I don't personally eat shellfish, but your point is taken. However, you fail to understand context and why that belief is no longer required by Christians. It's almost as ridiculous as the question "do you take the Bible literally?" That's a simplistic and dumb question. It is akin to asking "Do you take the library literally?"

I think Catholicism does a bad job with addressing and handling "gay". We all know the gigantic elephant in the room here.
Just because some sick priests molested children and human beings with poor moral fiber tried to cover it up does not negate the truth of the faith. It means there are some terrible human beings, which is something we all know exists in all walks of life- Catholics, Baptists, Muslims, and Atheists alike.

Seriously.. Do people really care if other people are gay? I never watched any of these movies, but friends who have kids talk about this and they say they make a much bigger deal out of it than it really is... Because whatever they show that is perceived as two people being homosexual, kids don't recognize it. Just like if a man and woman in one of these movies were "in love".. They just don't recognize that shite yet. And for people who are upset about it, are you trying to hide your kids from gay people?
At some point in their life they will come across gay people. They might even be gay themselves. Don't be a parent who makes their kid feel bad for something they have no control over. Just in case anyone of you think that it's a "sin" to be gay, don't teach that to your kids.. It will do more harm to them than anything.. Peace... I'm out.

In your opinion. I'm teaching my children the following:
* We don't know what causes it "whether it's environmental, inherited, born with it, etc."
* It is a mortal sin to engage in homosexual desires just the same as it is a mortal sin to engage in heterosexual desires outside of marriage.
* It is NOT a sin to be gay. It is a sin to engage in sexual activity outside of marriage.
* It used to be classified as a mental illnes and is most likely a mental illness along the lines of transgenderism.
* We should love them and encourage them to follow church teaching. If they choose not to, we should love them anyway but in no way condone or support the sins.

If we don't have kids does that mean there won't be any lesbians?

Well, there are a lot of people that think there is something wrong with it. I would never presume to tell someone how to raise their child.

Wat. Studies show that people have committed violent crimes trying to immitate a movie or a game. That’s not ground breaking and it’s not equivalent to what I said

This laughable. Kids experiment with shite all the time based off of what they see in life or on a tv screen. A kid doesn’t have to be attracted to dick to frick around and get handsy with someone of the same sex.

Who cares, children will run into lesbians in the real world. Some of you need to grow up, they aren’t going to show Elsa scissoring, they are just going to show you what you could see when you step outside your door. For people who are told you shouldn’t judge people by your religion, you sure do judge the frick out of everyone.
Posted on 3/1/18 at 5:50 pm to diddlydawg7
Oh No!! Our children might learn that, gasp, lesbians, actually exist in this world?
My kids saw my aunt become my uncle. No one in my house is going to be concerned with lesbian cartoon characters.

You forgot their bible has an *
* - Do not judge others, except the gays, They aren't human so you can judge them all you want.
I mean, the bible I have doesn't have that, but apparently their bible does.

If anything it will be subtle.
Disney loves money a whole lot more than it does it’s social issues. They’re not gonna hurt their golden goose by overly politicizing it.
Precisely.
However, people already have their minds made up. They think Elsa was overtly lesbian in the first film. There are plenty of people who go out of their way to be offended on both sides of the aisle.

Okay. You don’t have to normalize something for it to be accepted/acknowledged

You think I’m religious because I’d rather not have my kids think LGBT is normal?

When I was in college 20 years ago... pretty much every girl I knew had at least one "experience" with another girl... and maybe 20% of the guys I knew had at least one "experience" with another guy.
Now, they are doing it in high school. Just like everything else in life... kids are experiencing things earlier.
