That had to be a tough pill to swallow the moment you realized you needed to bring your teenage boy to a real man to experience real talk since you don't fit the bill

What if you’re one of those people who are stressed out by loud noises or murders? This doesn’t sound very inclusive.

I’m saying they’re actually being held accountable. It’s the first time, not the last or worst. It’s refreshing to me is all I was saying.

Retired coach here. On first day in full pads, I would be looking for a reason to go off on a kid. All assistants knew it was coming. Wanted to set the right standard from day one. It was my NO ALIBI rant. Also no parents allowed at practice. Brings team together.

f'n OT...

I hear you loud and clear, Gaston. Outside of the house, kids today are pampered. It's a bit refreshing to see how they respond to 'football coach' culture when it's the first time anyone outside their home yelled at them.

It helps build character.

Got full pads at practice last week, and uniforms on Saturday. They ran their first scrimmage after team photos and that was their first time ‘on the whistle’ full speed. My wife videos like an amateur.

This weekend they have jamboree against a real opponent, and I think they make the QB call everything. Should be interesting.

If this is their first time getting yelled at for failing, then you haven’t been a good father.

I had a coach who was nuts. Wore a helmet with three stars on it, carried a riding crop, and had a revolver with an ivory handle. Used to bitch all the time about some rival named Monty.

Using one approach to coach every single player is lazy. Different people respond to different types of coaching, and a good coach will learn how to get the best out of each one.
