Yeah you right!!!
I was a college senior in 2003. I remember the OU fans being the most arrogant fanbase I had ever come across.
I remember partying after the game, but I don't remember much interaction with OU fans. However, I'm sure we had a pretty decent contigent who didn't know how to act after a win like that. Most of the stories have been 'enhanced' since 2003, but I'm sure after games at Kansas State and Iowa State, running into thousands of LSU fans chanting "Tiger Bait!" the whole weekend was probably pretty jarring.
The LSU and OU fans had a blast together in 2019 in Atlanta, though.

They let you hang back and have a few beers in the concourse after the game, which helps to wait out the crowd. The pubs are rocking after a win, and it’s better to hang out in a pub or restaurant vs fighting the crowd in the tube.
I just got back after spending five days in an Airbnb in the old Highbury stands. If you ever get a chance to do that, I highly recommend it. We took many a night time stroll around the old pitch (a lot of foxes there at night) and just soaked in the history.
It also allowed us to immerse ourselves in the neighborhood. The coffee shops, markets, pubs, restaurants, etc. We had a lot of great conversations with locals.
I got back to the states last night. I’m in the office today. But my mind is still back there, still soaking in the glee from the win, still feeling the electricity of the Emirates as they dropped the tifo right in front of us, still visualizing Eze drop to his knees in front of us to celebrate his hat trick, still wishing I were there.
And now it’s time to find another game and begin to formulate the reasons to share with Mrs. Uhtred as to why it’s imperative I go back for another game in this season

Sky sports was so lovely this morning. Like an Arsenal wet dream. Spurs’angst that Eze didn’t sign with them, entire media having to reconcile that without Gabriel, Odegaard, Gyokeres, etc., we dominated Spurs, scored four goals with no set pieces in a weekend that saw so many other contenders drop points. They seem very much annoyed.
They’re building up Chelsea now, however. Next weekend is huge. I’m curious who we play against Bayern. As big as that is, the Chelsea match is more important right now. I’m not suggesting we give that game away, but it’ll be interesting to see who Arteta selects for the team. Eze will certainly be in it

What a game! The atmosphere in the Emirates was electric tonight. We dominated that shite club from start to finish.
Eze is the man. Midfield dominated. Hincapie looks like he’s been our LCB for years.
All the Eze kits were GONE in the Armoury shop after the game, lol. He deserves all this glory. What a stand up guy

I did the legends tour of the Emirates on Friday and Perry Groves led the tour. He said we should expect Gyokeres, Odegaard and Noni.
The lads and I will be singing and chanting all day.
We went to the Fulham-Sunderland match and sat in the Riverside stand of Craven Cottage, right on the wall separating the Fulham and Sunderland fans. Some Sunderland hooligans tried to climb the wall to fight me cause they were talking shite to me and I told them I couldn’t understand them cause I only speak English.
Most every game except one broke for us yesterday (frick Chelsea!)
Today is the day we make the statement that will make the entire English media eat their fricking shite.
WHAT DO WE THINK OF TOTTENHAM?!?!?!

ETA: And BA... No. Never. No. Their IT and Terminal 5 issues notwithstanding, a Brit friend flies over family members a couple of times a year, and has not had one positive thing to say about that airline in over a decade
As outdated as my plane was, it’s been quite a pleasant experience. The BA lounge at Dulles is nice, smooth flight, T5 at Heathrow was a breeze, and I’m sitting in the arrivals lounge now enjoying a latte while I wait for a shower suite.
Fortunately I’m not connecting, otherwise I’m certain they would lose my luggage, as, for some reason, BA is prone to do

I'm flying to London tonight for the NLD this weekend. I'll also hit up Fulham-Sunderland on Saturday. I'm going to put out some positive juju on these boys so that injuries are no longer a problem.
I'm also going to chant "Wanker! Wanker!" at Michael Oliver every chance I get on Sunday. Our seats are about 10 rows up behind on goal in the North Bank!
COYG!!!

I expect for LSU to play tough. I expect for this program to regain the reputation of being the most physical team on our opponents’ schedule. I expect us to compete for national championships and/or be in the playoff conversation at the end of the year.
Since 2000, when the university began to truly invest in the program, this has been the expectation. It hasn’t always been the reality, certainly not since 2020. Prior to 2000, LSU didn’t invest in the program to be elite. It does now. So we should expect that.
I think most LSU fans can agree that we expect the team play tough, physical football and be in the conversation at the end of the year.

I thought BA had finished the Club Suite retrofits for all of its 787s
So did I. But my seat map says something different

Also, couldn't help but laugh at the poster who was raving about the quality of the LH lounges stateside.
I flew LH business on my way to Oktoberfest last month, and the LH lounge at IAD was rough. I mean rough. In their defense, it was the last day before they were to begin renovations. I anticipate it will be nicer in about a year when they finish, but even before last month, it was in rough shape and not competitive with the other lounges in Dulles.
And to pile on, if you're flying solo, LH A380 with the 2-2-2 layout is not competitive. Get a middle seat. Flying with your spouce, it's not so bad, but still not competitive.
I'm heading to London tomorrow and unfortunately British Airways just did a plane swap from the new A350s to the older 787-9, so we just went from a 2-1-2 with doors to the dreaded 2-3-2 layout, but even on this plane, unless you're in the middle three seats, you don't have to worry about climbing over anyone.

Yes. So? You have to start somewhere, sometime. It astounds me that people think manufacturing is going to come back in 6 months. Didn't quite a few manufacturers promise trillions of dollars in US investments?
It would irresponsible for any business leader to do what you all are suggesting. They moved operations overseas to save a ton of money. In most cases, far more than the 20% quoted earlier.
To move back onshore is an incredible undertaking, not only a years-long project to build new manufacturing in the US, but also disrupting the existing product road map (or equivalent depending on the industry), and it could cost more than 3-4 years of revenue.
That’s incredibly expensive and disruptive. And it will take longer than 3-4 years to get this done, and by then a new president will be in the White House and there’s a chance the tariffs will be eliminated, and the company is caught with their pants down.

Jesus you are a moron. Let’s see, if a business saves 20% by manufacturing overseas but the tariff is 25% then what would the smart business man do? He would move the manufacturing back to the United States. Costs less and less lag time/transportation costs. Save 5% plus he has a more reliable supply chain. How hard is this to grasp for a small town ambulance chaser?
Do you think it’s free to build new manufacturing plants in the United States? Because your math says you think it’s free
And for many, they’re likely saving much more than 20% by manufacturing overseas
Virginia’s current governor is a Republican with a pretty decent approval rating. While the state is leaning blue for national elections, it’s still in play for Republicans at the state and local levels.
