What happens when your body doesn’t have enough salt:

Hamstring is the worst of all cramps. Big muscle that is hard to get right when it goes wrong.

Much, much worse. I’m talking when your entire thigh, quads, and hammy decide to cramp in unison.

Place towel under balls of foot. Grab each end, pull and stretch. Hold for several minutes

Gout has entered the thread.

If foot cramps are the "worst", you have led a very sheltered life.

Had a calf cramp a few years ago. Woke me up middle of the night. Trying to stretch it out while lying on my back, I tore my calf muscle.

What do yall do for them??
Pushing your foot against something, even if it is just your other leg helps.
A foot cramp is especially troublesome when performing the horizontal mambo.

Liquid IV or an electrolyte mix is the right thing here. I agree they suck. I get them after golf no matter how much water I drink because I sweat like a rented mule.

Pickle juice is magic for cramps.
I always keep a jar in the fridge.
Years and years of bike racing and once I started drinking it after training or racing I haven’t had issues with cramps.

For some weird reason, I somewhat enjoy foot cramps. I don’t find them painful.

Calf cramps are the worst for me. About 3 months ago, the wife and I were fooling around when I got the mother of all cramps. Thought I was going to die. Had to face the fact that certain positions are off limits now.

My apologies baw....I thought you were the OP and was responding.....can't blame it on alcohol or lack of caffeine....I just goofed.

Calf cramps and hand cramps when I've been working a long time on equipment are painful.
After cramping I drink cold coconut water (not milk) and they subside. The coconut water must be cold otherwise it's like drinking much warmer than room temp beer.
Also, with a calf cramp, I stand normally and it helps.

You’ve obviously never been hit in the balls.
I’d rather get kicked in the balls than to have my abductors cramp. The absolute worst pain I’ve ever experienced.
